Temazepam falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Chanca Piedra interacts with.

Theoretically, use of chanca piedra might increase the levels and clinical effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro research shows that chanca piedra extract inhibits CYP3A4. Theoretically, chanca piedra might increase the levels of CYP3A4 substrates. This interaction has not been reported in humans.

Here's the gist for temazepam (Restoril). Your body uses an enzyme called CYP3A4 to help clear this sleep medicine. In lab tests, chanca piedra appears to slow that same enzyme down. So in theory, taking the two together could let temazepam build up a bit more than usual, which might leave you feeling extra drowsy, groggy, dizzy, or foggy the next morning.

I want to be honest about the strength of this, though. So far it's only been seen in test-tube studies, never actually reported in people, so the real-world risk is uncertain and probably small. Still, since both can make you sleepy, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them, especially if you ever feel unusually out of it in the morning.

Temazepam capsules — sold as Restoril and under the generic name Temazepam — are indicated for the short-term treatment of insomnia, generally 7 to 10 days. They help people fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer.

This medication is intended for short periods only. If sleep trouble doesn't improve within 7 to 10 days, that may signal an underlying medical or psychiatric condition that needs its own evaluation.
