Theoretically, concomitant use of chanca piedra with antihypertensive drugs might have additive blood pressure lowering effects.
Animal research suggests that chanca piedra can decrease blood pressure. However, this effect was not observed in most hypertensive patients treated with chanca piedra for 10 days.

Here's the short version: chanca piedra might nudge your blood pressure down a little on its own, and since lisinopril is already working to lower it, the two could add together. In theory that could leave you feeling lightheaded, dizzy, or tired, especially when you stand up quickly.

That said, the evidence here is thin. This idea comes mostly from animal studies, and in one small human study people taking lisinopril-type medicines didn't actually see a meaningful drop from chanca piedra over 10 days. So this is a possible, low-risk interaction, not a proven one. If you'd like to try chanca piedra, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor, and keeping an eye on your home blood pressure readings is a smart move.

About Lisinopril

What Is Lisinopril Used For?

Brand names: Zestril, Prinivil, Qbrelis

Lisinopril treats high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults and children 6 years and older, and can be used alone or alongside other blood pressure medicines. Lowering blood pressure reduces the risk of strokes and heart attacks. The tablet combination product containing lisinopril and hydrochlorothiazide is specifically indicated for high blood pressure.

Lisinopril is also used as an add-on therapy to reduce signs and symptoms of systolic heart failure, and to reduce the risk of death in people who are hemodynamically stable (have reasonably stable circulation) within 24 hours of an acute heart attack (acute myocardial infarction).
