Theoretically, use of chanca piedra might increase the levels and clinical effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro research shows that chanca piedra extract inhibits CYP3A4. Theoretically, chanca piedra might increase the levels of CYP3A4 substrates. This interaction has not been reported in humans.

Chanca Piedra Overview
Chanca piedra (Phyllanthus niruri) is a small herb native to the tropical regions of the Americas. It is commonly known by other names, such as "stone breaker" and "seed-on-the-leaf," due to its traditional use in breaking up kidney stones and gallstones.
Chanca piedra is used in traditional medicine to treat a variety of ailments, including kidney and gallbladder disorders, liver problems, and urinary tract infections. It is also believed to have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antiviral properties.
Carbamazepine Overview

Carbamazepine is used alone or in combination with other medications to control certain types of seizures in people with epilepsy. It is also used to treat trigeminal neuralgia (a condition that causes facial nerve pain). Carbamazepine extended-release capsules (Equetro brand only) are also used to treat episodes of mania (frenzied, abnormally excited or irritated mood) or mixed episodes (symptoms of mania and depression that happen at the same time) in patients with bipolar I disorder (manic-depressive disorder; a disease that causes episodes of depression, episodes of mania, and other abnormal moods). Carbamazepine is in a class of medications called anticonvulsants. It works by reducing abnormal electrical activity in the brain.
