Theoretically, concomitant use of chanca piedra with antihypertensive drugs might have additive blood pressure lowering effects.
Animal research suggests that chanca piedra can decrease blood pressure. However, this effect was not observed in most hypertensive patients treated with chanca piedra for 10 days.

Here's the simple version: chanca piedra might nudge your blood pressure down a little on its own. Since timolol is already working to lower your blood pressure and slow your heart rate, stacking the two could, in theory, add up. If that happened, you might feel lightheaded, dizzy, unusually tired, or notice your pulse running slow, especially when you stand up quickly.

That said, I don't want to overstate this. The idea comes mostly from animal studies, and when people with high blood pressure actually took chanca piedra for about 10 days, most didn't see a meaningful drop. So this is a minor, unlikely concern. Still, it's worth a quick mention to your pharmacist or doctor, and keeping an eye on how you feel is always smart.

About Timolol

What Is Timolol Used For?

Brand names: Blocadren, Timol, Timoptic

Timolol is available in ophthalmic (eye) forms and as an oral tablet, and each form has its own approved uses. Ophthalmic formulations — including Betimol, Istalol, Timolol GFS, Timolol hemihydrate, Timolol Maleate eye drops, and Timolol Maleate Ophthalmic Gel Forming Solution — are used to lower elevated intraocular pressure (pressure inside the eye) in people with ocular hypertension or open-angle glaucoma.

Timolol Maleate tablets are used orally for three separate conditions: treating high blood pressure (alone or combined with other blood pressure medicines), reducing the risk of death and repeat heart attack in people who have survived a heart attack and are clinically stable, and preventing migraine headaches.
