Prazosin falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Chanca Piedra interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use of chanca piedra with antihypertensive drugs might have additive blood pressure lowering effects.
Animal research suggests that chanca piedra can decrease blood pressure. However, this effect was not observed in most hypertensive patients treated with chanca piedra for 10 days.

Here's the short version: chanca piedra might nudge your blood pressure down a little on its own, and prazosin already lowers blood pressure by relaxing your blood vessels. Put them together and, in theory, those effects could stack up. The thing to watch for would be your pressure dipping too low, which can leave you feeling dizzy, lightheaded, or faint, especially when you stand up quickly. Prazosin is already known for that 'first-dose' drop, so that's the practical concern.

That said, the evidence here is thin. It comes mostly from animal studies, and a small human study didn't actually show this drop in most people. So I wouldn't lose sleep over it, but if you want to try chanca piedra, check with your pharmacist or doctor first and keep an eye on how you feel.

Prazosin hydrochloride capsules are used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Lowering blood pressure reduces the risk of serious cardiovascular events, including strokes and heart attacks.
