Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains one active ingredient: Coenzyme Q-10, 100 mg per tablet. CoQ-10 is a natural compound your body makes and stores in cells, where it helps generate energy and acts as an antioxidant.
The rest of the tablet is made up of inactive ingredients — dextrose, microcrystalline cellulose, and several binders and flow agents (croscarmellose sodium, crospovidone, stearic acid, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide), plus sucralose and flavoring to give it the orange taste.
Does it work?
Strong evidence
CoQ-10 is rated likely effective for replacing coenzyme Q-10 deficiency itself. For other uses, the evidence is less certain: it's possibly effective for fibromyalgia, migraine headache, congestive heart failure, and diabetic neuropathy, based on the clinical research we have on file.
That means there's promise in some studies, but we don't have enough solid evidence to call it proven for these conditions.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Coenzyme Q-10 is generally well tolerated when taken as directed. In clinical trials, no serious side effects were reported.
Mild gastrointestinal upset — nausea, diarrhea, heartburn, or loss of appetite — occurs in less than 1% of people, and dividing daily doses above 100 mg can help minimize this. Headache, dizziness, and insomnia have also been reported occasionally, and skin itching or rash is rare.
There isn't enough safety data for pregnancy, so it's best avoided in pregnancy unless your doctor advises otherwise. Safety data while breastfeeding is limited, so check with your doctor before using it.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before starting this CoQ-10, double-check with your pharmacist if you take chemotherapy drugs like alkylating agents (serious concern), warfarin or other blood thinners, or medications to lower blood pressure. Altogether, these interactions span 198 individual medications.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with strong clinical evidence behind its ingredients' uses. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
CoQ-10 is a good choice if you have low CoQ-10 levels or want to try it for heart health or migraines — it's generally well tolerated. If you take warfarin, chemotherapy, or blood pressure medications, have a pharmacist check your specific drugs first.
Talk to your doctor if you're pregnant, breastfeeding, or being treated for cancer.

As you age, your body’s levels of CoQ-10 naturally decline, sometimes as early as your 20s. Other factors may affect your CoQ-10 levels too, such as inadequate dietary intake of CoQ-10, the use of statin drugs, oxidative stress on your cells, potential effects from illness, and an increased demand from your metabolism.

CoEnzyme Q-10 (CoQ-10) is found in every cell of your body. Your body makes CoQ-10 and your cells use it to produce energy your body needs for cell growth and maintenance. Additionally, it helps to maintain normal circulation, to support your immune system and to help protect cells from aging.* CoQ-10 helps enzymes work to digest food and perform other body processes, and they help protect the heart and skeletal muscles.

CoQ-10 100 mg Delicious Orange Flavor by TriSorb Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
TriSorb's CoQ-10 100 mg does interact with several medication types.
The most serious concern is with chemotherapy drugs called alkylating agents (like cyclophosphamide). Coenzyme Q-10 is an antioxidant, and theoretically it may protect tumor cells from these chemotherapy drugs, which work by creating harmful free radicals.
If you're undergoing cancer treatment, talk with your oncologist before starting this product.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
There's also a moderate interaction with warfarin (Coumadin), a blood thinner. Coenzyme Q-10 is chemically similar to vitamin K, which helps blood clot.
A few cases have been reported where CoQ-10 reduced warfarin's blood-thinning effect. This doesn't mean you can't take them together, but your dose or INR (clotting measure) may need adjustment.
Finally, CoQ-10 may have minor additive effects with blood pressure medications, since some research shows it can lower blood pressure on its own — though results vary.
Although these are the documented interactions we hold, check your exact medications with the search tool on this page to be sure.

For each ingredient in CoQ-10 100 mg Delicious Orange Flavor with known interactions, here are the types of medications it can affect. Open any type for the detail — or search your exact drug in the checker above.
Coenzyme Q-10
Alkylating Agents
Coenzyme Q10 has antioxidant effects. Theoretically, this may reduce the activity of chemotherapy drugs that generate free radicals.
Theoretically, antioxidants such as coenzyme Q10 might protect tumor cells from chemotherapeutic agents that work by inducing oxidative stress, such as alkylating agents (e.g., cyclophosphamide) and radiation therapy. The clinical importance of this interaction is unknown.
Warfarin (Coumadin)
Coenzyme Q10 is chemically similar to menaquinone and might have vitamin K-like procoagulant effects, which could decrease the effects of warfarin.
Concomitant use of coenzyme Q10 and warfarin might reduce the anticoagulant effects of warfarin. Four cases of decreased warfarin efficacy thought to be due to coenzyme Q10 have been reported. However, there is some preliminary clinical research that suggests coenzyme Q10 might not significantly decrease the effects of warfarin in patients who have a stable INR.
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, coenzyme Q10 might have additive effects with antihypertensive drugs.
Some clinical research shows that coenzyme Q10 can significantly lower blood pressure, although other studies have shown conflicting results.
