The tablet also includes inactive ingredients (cellulose, vegetable culture, stearic acid, and magnesium stearate) that help hold it together.

Strong evidence
Copper supplementation is likely effective for treating copper deficiency. For other uses — Alzheimer's disease, acne, chemotherapy-related anemia, and brain tumors — the evidence we hold is either insufficient to rate or suggests it may not help (as with Alzheimer's disease).

How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Copper from food and standard supplements is generally well tolerated at normal doses, but excess copper is toxic. The safety data advises caution: copper is needed in pregnancy, but stay within recommended amounts and avoid high-dose supplements without medical guidance.
The same caution applies during lactation. Rarely, contact dermatitis from copper has been reported.
There's also evidence that people with diabetes tend to have higher copper levels in their blood, though it's unclear whether elevated copper itself worsens diabetes.
