DHEA is generally well tolerated at typical doses in the short term. However, DHEA is a hormone, so it can cause hormonal side effects—acne (the most common), headache, sleep trouble, mood changes, and nausea are reported.

In women, masculinization symptoms like voice deepening, increased facial and body hair, irregular periods, and breast shrinkage have been noted. In men, aggression and breast tenderness occur.

DHEA is produced by the adrenal glands and is found naturally in the body. It is an important base from which other key metabolites are derived. DHEA decreases as we grow older. This Wonder product contains the highest quality DHEA available in supplement form.
