Fast Stix Mixed Berry Ingredients & Drug Interactions
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Fast Stix Mixed Berry against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

HelloPharmacist Scorecard of Fast Stix Mixed Berry by GNC Probiotic
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
This powder contains four active probiotic ingredients: two strains of Lactobacillus acidophilus (CUL 60 and CUL 21), Bifidobacterium bifidum (CUL 20), and Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis (CUL 34). These are live, active beneficial bacteria meant to support digestive and immune health.
The inactive ingredients are xylitol, natural strawberry and raspberry flavors, and malic acid.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
The evidence varies by condition and strain. Lactobacillus acidophilus (both strains) is possibly effective for irritable bowel syndrome, Helicobacter pylori infection, antibiotic-associated diarrhea, and bacterial vaginosis, but possibly ineffective for atopic disease — there's insufficient evidence for acute respiratory distress syndrome.
Bifidobacterium bifidum is possibly effective for irritable bowel syndrome and respiratory tract infections, with insufficient evidence for hay fever, Alzheimer disease, and generalized anxiety disorder. Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis is possibly effective for respiratory tract infections, irritable bowel syndrome, and constipation.
So depending on what you're taking this for, the evidence ranges from possibly effective to not yet established.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
All four strains are generally well tolerated by healthy adults and children. That said, the data note that these are live microorganisms, so there's some theoretical concern they could cause infection in people with weakened immune systems — if that's you, check with your doctor before starting.
Uncommon side effects include bloating, flatulence, abdominal discomfort, diarrhea, and burping. Rare cases of rash with itching have been reported in trials, though it wasn't always clear if the probiotics were responsible.
For pregnancy, all four strains are rated possibly safe; lactation data aren't on file. Because the evidence is limited, talk with your healthcare provider before use, especially if you have a compromised immune system.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before you start, double-check antibiotic drugs with your doctor or pharmacist — all four strains in this product interact with them at Moderate severity, mainly because antibiotics can kill the live probiotics. Separating doses by a few hours usually helps.
Use the medication checker on this page to confirm your exact prescriptions.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
GNC Probiotic Fast Stix Mixed Berry is a four-strain probiotic powder possibly effective for gut and respiratory health in otherwise healthy people. The main thing to watch is timing around antibiotics — they can kill the live bacteria and reduce benefit.
If you have a weakened immune system or are pregnant or breastfeeding, check with your doctor or pharmacist first to make sure it's right for you.

Fast Stix Mixed Berry by GNC Probiotic Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
GNC Probiotic Fast Stix Mixed Berry contains four live probiotic strains — two Lactobacillus acidophilus varieties (CUL 60 and CUL 21), Bifidobacterium bifidum (CUL 20), and Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis (CUL 34) — all of which interact with antibiotic drugs.
The most serious concern is Moderate severity: taking these probiotics while on antibiotics might kill the live organisms and reduce the probiotics' effectiveness. Because these products contain live bacteria, you'll want to separate when you take them from when you take antibiotics.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Altogether, these interactions span 182 individual medications.
The antibiotic interaction is the only drug type documented for all four active ingredients in this product. If you're on an antibiotic course, ask your doctor or pharmacist about timing — usually spacing them a few hours apart can help preserve the probiotic benefit.
