FlorAdvanced Ingredients & Drug Interactions
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking FlorAdvanced against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy
FlorAdvanced is a dietary supplement by Dr. Clark Store with 12 active ingredients. HelloPharmacist Scorecard of FlorAdvanced by Dr. Clark Store
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
FlorAdvanced contains 12 ingredients: a proprietary blend that breaks down into inulin (a prebiotic fiber that feeds beneficial bacteria) and ten live probiotic strains—Lactobacillus plantarum, L. paracasei, L. acidophilus, L. rhamnosus, Bifidobacterium longum, B. breve, B. bifidum, B. adolescentis, B. animalis subsp. lactis, Streptococcus thermophilus, and a spore-forming strain called DE111 Bacillus subtilis. These probiotics are meant to support gut health; the inulin acts as food for the beneficial bacteria.
The capsule itself is vegetarian and has a delayed-release coating, designed to help the probiotics survive stomach acid.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
Evidence for FlorAdvanced's individual ingredients is mixed. Inulin is rated possibly effective for obesity, constipation, and diabetes, though the data on whether it actually lowers blood sugar is unclear.
Among the probiotics, Lactobacillus acidophilus is possibly effective for irritable bowel syndrome, Helicobacter pylori infection, antibiotic-associated diarrhea, and bacterial vaginosis. Bifidobacterium bifidum is possibly effective for IBS and respiratory tract infections.
Bifidobacterium lactis is possibly effective for respiratory tract infections, IBS, and constipation. Bacillus subtilis is possibly effective for antibiotic-associated diarrhea.
For many of the other strains and most other conditions this product might be marketed for—including allergic rhinitis, anxiety, asthma, cognitive decline, and diabetes—the evidence is insufficient to rate, meaning we don't have enough reliable data to say whether they work.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
The probiotics in FlorAdvanced are generally well tolerated in healthy adults and children. The most common side effects are gastrointestinal: inulin frequently causes bloating, gas, constipation, diarrhea, and cramping, especially at higher doses; probiotics can cause abdominal discomfort, bloating, flatulence, and diarrhea, though these are usually uncommon.
Rare serious adverse effects have been reported—inulin has caused anaphylaxis from foods high in it, and several of the live bacterial strains (L. acidophilus, Bifidobacterium longum, B. breve, B. bifidum, and Bacillus subtilis) have rarely caused bacteremia or sepsis in critically ill or severely immunocompromised patients, especially preterm infants or those on central lines. In healthy people with intact immune systems, this risk appears very low.
Pregnancy and lactation data are incomplete: inulin is rated likely safe in pregnancy and lactation; Bifidobacterium longum is possibly safe; and Bifidobacterium breve, B. animalis subsp. lactis, Bacillus subtilis, and Streptococcus thermophilus have no pregnancy or lactation rating on file. If you're pregnant or breastfeeding, talk with your doctor or pharmacist before starting.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before taking FlorAdvanced, double-check antibiotic drugs with your pharmacist—the live bacteria in this product can be killed by antibiotics (Moderate severity), which would reduce how well the probiotic works. Also mention any antidiabetes medications, since inulin theoretically might increase the risk of low blood sugar (Minor severity).
Your pharmacist can help you time doses properly to get the most from both your medications and this supplement.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
FlorAdvanced is a multi-strain probiotic with prebiotic fiber, generally well tolerated in healthy people. If you take antibiotic drugs, you'll need to separate them from this product—ask your pharmacist for the right timing.
If you take diabetes medication, mention inulin's theoretical risk of low blood sugar. Anyone with a weakened immune system or serious illness should check with their doctor first.

FlorAdvanced by Dr. Clark Store Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
FlorAdvanced by Dr.
Clark Store is a 12-ingredient probiotic and prebiotic blend with documented interactions affecting multiple medication types. The most serious concern is with antibiotic drugs (Moderate severity): six of the live bacterial strains in this product—Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifidobacterium longum, Bifidobacterium breve, Bifidobacterium bifidum, Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis, and Bacillus subtilis—can be killed by antibiotics, reducing the effectiveness of the probiotic.
The product also contains inulin, which carries a Minor interaction with antidiabetes drugs; theoretically, it might increase the risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia), though clinical evidence on whether inulin itself lowers blood sugar is unclear.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Additionally, we could not check interaction data for Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus paracasei, Lactobacillus rhamnosus, and Bifidobacterium adolescentis. Altogether, these interactions span 267 individual medications.
Streptococcus thermophilus, one of the checked strains, shows no interactions documented in our data. To see if your exact medications interact with any ingredient here, use the medication checker on this page.
