Mega Probiotic for Her Ingredients & Drug Interactions
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Mega Probiotic for Her against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
This product contains 10 ingredients total, with four active probiotic species we can identify: Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifidobacterium longum, Lactobacillus gasseri, and Lactobacillus crispatus. There's also a Probiotic Complex blend and five other individual Lactobacillus species (plantarum, paracasei, brevis, rhamnosus, and reuteri).
All of these are live beneficial bacteria intended to support gut and vaginal health. The remaining ingredients are inactive — microcrystalline cellulose, cellulose, silica, and stearate — which are standard binders and capsule materials that help hold the formula together.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
The evidence for these specific probiotics varies. Lactobacillus acidophilus is possibly effective for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), Helicobacter pylori infection, antibiotic-associated diarrhea, and bacterial vaginosis, but the data rate it as possibly ineffective for atopic disease and insufficient for acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).
Lactobacillus crispatus is possibly effective for bacterial vaginosis but shows insufficient evidence for HIV/AIDS, periodontitis, urinary tract infections (UTIs), and preterm labor. For Bifidobacterium longum and Lactobacillus gasseri, the evidence available to us rates all their tested conditions as insufficient — which means we don't have reliable data yet on whether they work for allergic rhinitis (hay fever), asthma, anxiety, diarrhea, or other listed conditions.
We hold no effectiveness data for the other five probiotic species in the formula.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
The four probiotics we checked are generally well tolerated in healthy adults, though gastrointestinal side effects like bloating, flatulence, abdominal discomfort, and diarrhea occur rarely when you first start. One concern with live probiotic organisms: in very rare cases, they've caused serious infections like bacteremia or sepsis, mostly in critically ill or immune-compromised patients — this is why caution is advised if you're seriously ill or have a weakened immune system.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding data are limited. Bifidobacterium longum rates as possibly safe in pregnancy and lactation.
For Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus gasseri, and Lactobacillus crispatus, we hold no pregnancy or breastfeeding safety ratings — so if you're pregnant or nursing, talk with your doctor or pharmacist before starting. We have no safety data on file for the five other probiotic species.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
The main thing to double-check is antibiotic drugs (Moderate severity) — these probiotics interact with them because antibiotics kill the live organisms. Separate the timing of your antibiotic and this probiotic by at least a few hours (your pharmacist can give you the exact spacing).
For the five probiotic species we couldn't check — Lactobacillus plantarum, paracasei, brevis, rhamnosus, reuteri, and Bifidobacterium animalis lactis — we hold no interaction data, so use the search tool on this page for your specific medications.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
This probiotic is designed for people looking to support digestive and vaginal health with live beneficial bacteria. If you're on antibiotics, you'll need to space out when you take them to avoid killing the probiotics.
Pregnant, nursing, or seriously ill folks should check with their pharmacist or doctor first. Use the interaction checker below to run through your medications before you start.

Mega Probiotic for Her by DaVinci Laboratories Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Mega Probiotic for Her by DaVinci Laboratories contains four probiotic ingredients we've checked for interactions, and all of them interact with antibiotic drugs (Moderate severity).
Since these probiotics are live organisms, taking them at the same time as antibiotics might kill a significant number of them, which could make the probiotic less effective. The solution is straightforward: separate when you take them — ask your pharmacist or doctor for specific timing.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
We couldn't check five other probiotic ingredients in the formula because we don't hold interaction data for them yet — Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus paracasei, Bifidobacterium animalis lactis, Lactobacillus brevis, Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Lactobacillus reuteri, or the Probiotic Complex itself (which is a blend of others).
Altogether, these interactions span 182 individual medications. That large number reflects the fact that many different antibiotic drugs exist, and the same mechanism — live organisms being killed by antibiotics — applies to each one.
Use the medication checker on this page to look up your exact prescriptions before you start.
