Nrf2 Detox Ingredients & Drug Interactions
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Nrf2 Detox against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
Nrf2 Detox contains three active ingredients. Sulforaphane is a compound from cruciferous vegetables like broccoli that your body converts from a precursor compound.
Setria Glutathione is a form of glutathione, a small antioxidant protein your cells make naturally. Resveratrol is a polyphenol found in grape skin and other plants.
The product also includes a broccoli sprout concentrate. The only other ingredient listed is the vegetarian capsule itself.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
The evidence for this product's ingredients varies. Sulforaphane is possibly effective for prostate cancer but possibly ineffective for H. pylori infection (a stomach bacterium), with insufficient evidence for hay fever and asthma.
Resveratrol is possibly effective for obesity and hay fever, but possibly ineffective for heart disease and high cholesterol. Glutathione is possibly effective for nerve damage caused by the chemotherapy drug cisplatin, but evidence is insufficient for Alzheimer's disease, athletic performance, and cataracts.
Overall, the strongest claims rest on limited evidence.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Sulforaphane from food is considered safe, but concentrated supplements are less studied for long-term use. You may experience bowel discomfort, heartburn, stomach upset, vomiting, or headache.
In clinical trials, some people reported insomnia and irritability; rare cases of seizures have been reported in males with autism, and weight gain of about 4 pounds over 18 weeks was noted in one study. Concentrated sulforaphane supplements should be avoided in pregnancy; there isn't enough data on supplement-level doses while breastfeeding, so prefer dietary amounts.
Glutathione appears well tolerated orally short-term, but long-term safety isn't fully clear. During pregnancy, there isn't enough reliable safety information, so it's best avoided unless your doctor advises otherwise.
The same caution applies to breastfeeding. Inhaled glutathione can cause airway narrowing and shortness of breath in people with asthma.
Resveratrol is generally well tolerated at typical supplement doses; higher doses may cause diarrhea, gastrointestinal discomfort, or loose stools. Headache, fatigue, and memory loss have been reported in dialysis patients.
A skin rash occurred in one trial and resolved after stopping. Resveratrol should be avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding due to insufficient safety data.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before taking Nrf2 Detox, check with your pharmacist if you take blood thinners or antiplatelet drugs (such as warfarin or aspirin)—resveratrol may increase bleeding risk. Additionally, check any medications metabolized by your liver's cytochrome P450 enzymes, particularly CYP3A4, CYP1A2, CYP2E1, and CYP2C19 substrates, as sulforaphane and resveratrol may theoretically alter their levels, though human evidence is limited.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with some supporting evidence behind its ingredients' uses. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Nrf2 Detox is aimed at people interested in antioxidant and detoxification support, but the evidence for most of these ingredients is limited or mixed. If you take blood thinners or antiplatelet medications, or if you're on medications metabolized through your liver's CYP enzymes, you need to check this product against your exact medications first.
Talk with your pharmacist before starting, especially if you're pregnant, breastfeeding, or have a history of seizures.

Nrf2 Detox by Pure Encapsulations Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Nrf2 Detox by Pure Encapsulations contains three active ingredients, two of which have documented interactions with medications.
The most serious concern is resveratrol's potential to increase bleeding risk when combined with blood thinners or antiplatelet drugs (drugs that thin your blood or prevent clots). This is a Moderate severity interaction, and resveratrol appears to have antiplatelet effects on its own.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Sulforaphane may alter how your body processes several categories of medications through your liver's cytochrome P450 enzyme system. Specifically, it could theoretically change the levels and effects of CYP1A2 substrates, CYP3A4 substrates, and CYP2E1 substrates—all Moderate severity concerns.
Resveratrol shares similar theoretical interactions with CYP2C19 substrates, CYP1A2 substrates, CYP3A4 substrates, and CYP2E1 substrates, also rated Moderate. However, clinical research with resveratrol at high doses (3000 mg daily) did not require dose adjustments to CYP3A4 medications, suggesting real-world effects may differ from laboratory findings.
Setria Glutathione, the third ingredient, has no interactions documented in our data. Altogether, these interactions span 812 individual medications.
We couldn't check the broccoli sprout concentrate component separately, as it's listed as part of a blend. Before you start this product, run your exact medications through the interaction checker on this page.

resVida Resveratrol
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs
Resveratrol may have antiplatelet effects and may increase the risk of bleeding if used with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs.
Resveratrol seems to have antiplatelet effects.
Cytochrome P450 1A2 (Cyp1A2) Substrates
Theoretically, resveratrol might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP1A2.
In vitro research shows that resveratrol can inhibit CYP1A2 enzymes. However, this interaction has not been reported in humans.
Cytochrome P450 2C19 (Cyp2C19) Substrates
Theoretically, resveratrol might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2C19.
In vitro research shows that resveratrol can inhibit CYP2C19 enzymes. However, this interaction has not been reported in humans.
Cytochrome P450 2E1 (Cyp2E1) Substrates
Resveratrol might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2E1.
In vitro research suggests that resveratrol inhibits CYP2E1 isoenzyme. Also, a pharmacokinetic study shows that taking resveratrol 500 mg daily for 10 days prior to taking a single dose of chlorzoxazone 250 mg increases the maximum concentration of chlorzoxazone by about 54%, the area under the curve of chlorzoxazone by about 72%, and the half-life of chlorzoxazone by about 35%. Chlorzoxazone is used as a probe drug for CYP2E1.
Cytochrome P450 3A4 (Cyp3A4) Substrates
Theoretically, resveratrol might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP3A4.
In vitro research shows that resveratrol can inhibit the CYP3A4 enzyme. However, clinical research shows that taking resveratrol 3000 mg daily for 8 weeks does not necessitate dose adjustments to medications metabolized by CYP3A4.
Broccoli (Brassica oleracea italica) Sprout concentrate
Cytochrome P450 1A2 (Cyp1A2) Substrates
Theoretically, broccoli might reduce the levels and effects of drugs metabolized by CYP1A2.
Pharmacokinetic research in humans shows that eating 500 grams of fresh broccoli daily for 6-12 days can increase CYP1A2 activity by 10% to 200%. Induction of CYP1A2 activity by broccoli is attributed to its glucosinolate constituents.
Cytochrome P450 2A6 (Cyp2A6) Substrates
Theoretically, broccoli might reduce the levels and effects of drugs metabolized by CYP2A6.
Pharmacokinetic research in humans shows that eating 500 grams of broccoli daily for 6 days increases CYP2A6 activity by 135% to 550%. Induction of CYP2A6 activity is attributed to its glucosinolate constituents.
