Formula
- The best natural sources of omega-3 fats are certain fatty fish which contains both eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), which are the forms of omega-3's readily absorbed by the body. Many people do not include adequate amounts of fatty fish in their diet and, since the human body cannot make omega-3's on its own, obtaining these fats from the diet is important. Out molecularly distilled Optimal Omega-3 is sourced from fresh cold water sources and is tested for PCBs and heavy metals. The fish are caught in the oceans off the coast of South America and are not farm-raised. Natural lemon flavor is added to provide a pleasant flavor. Our product uses EPAX fish oil, which is the most clinically documented line of marine omega-3 concentrates with over 100 published studies. EPAX fish oil is sourced from our supplier's Friend of the Sea (FOS)-certified sister company in South America, which guarantees sustainable and environmentally friendly fishing practices.
