Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains one active ingredient: piracetam at 700 mg per capsule. Piracetam is a medication—not a dietary supplement—that's used for several neurologic and circulatory conditions.
The capsule itself is made from gelatin.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
Piracetam is possibly effective for tardive dyskinesia (involuntary movement disorder), breath-holding attacks, vertigo (dizziness), epilepsy, recovery after coronary artery bypass graft surgery, and dyslexia, based on available evidence. The strength of evidence for each condition is the same: preliminary research supports a possible benefit, but more robust studies would help confirm whether it works.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Piracetam is generally well tolerated when taken by mouth, though common side effects include constipation, stomach upset, high blood pressure, rash, and weight gain. Rare but serious effects include agitation, anxiety, behavioral changes, dizziness, drowsiness, overactivity, sleep problems, slurred speech, and in one case report, abnormally heavy menstrual bleeding.
Because piracetam is unapproved in the U.S. and product quality isn't regulated, exercise caution. The safety data advises against use during pregnancy.
It may pass into breast milk and safety isn't known, so it should be avoided while breastfeeding.
Meds to double-check
Major interaction found
Double-check any blood thinners or antiplatelet drugs (anticoagulants) before you start—piracetam may increase bleeding risk with these medications, and the interaction is rated Major.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Major medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Piracetam may help with tardive dyskinesia, vertigo, epilepsy, and a few other neurologic conditions, though the evidence is preliminary. If you take any blood thinner or antiplatelet drug, check with your pharmacist before starting—the interaction risk is serious.
Because this medication is unapproved in the U.S., talk to your doctor or pharmacist about whether it's right for you and where to source a reliable product.

Piracetam 700 mg by Specialty Pharmacy Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Piracetam by Specialty Pharmacy has documented interactions with blood thinners and antiplatelet drugs (medications that prevent clots).
Preliminary research shows that even a single dose of piracetam can inhibit platelet aggregation—meaning it reduces how well your platelets clump together to form clots. When combined with anticoagulants or antiplatelet drugs like warfarin, aspirin, or clopidogrel, this raises the risk of bleeding.

Altogether, these interactions span 122 individual medications. Because piracetam is unapproved in the U.S. and product quality varies, check your exact blood thinners and clot-prevention drugs with the search tool below before starting this product.
