by Dr. Seth's Vitamin Vibrations
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Power Test against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
Power Test contains 11 ingredients total, including a proprietary blend and 10 named actives. The main active ingredients are ashwagandha, Catuaba bark extract, Damiana leaf extract, Tongkat Ali, Horny Goat Weed, Puncture Vine (Tribulus), Rhodiola rosea, Maca, Muira puama root extract, and Cnidium monnieri.
These herbs are traditionally used to support sexual function, energy, stress response, and general wellness. The product also contains inactive ingredients—hypromellose, microcrystalline cellulose, and silicon dioxide—which are standard capsule fillers and binders.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
The evidence for effectiveness varies widely across the ingredients and intended uses. Ashwagandha is possibly effective for insomnia, anxiety, stress, and generalized anxiety disorder.
Tongkat Ali is possibly effective for sexual desire but appears to be ineffective for athletic performance. Puncture Vine (Tribulus) is possibly effective for sexual dysfunction but possibly ineffective for athletic performance.
For most other conditions—sexual dysfunction (Damiana, Muira puama, Cnidium, Horny Goat Weed), athletic performance (Maca, Rhodiola), and various other uses—the evidence we hold is insufficient to establish whether they work. Rhodiola, Maca, and most other ingredients lack sufficient reliable evidence in our data to rate their effectiveness.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Ashwagandha is generally well tolerated short-term in healthy adults, but long-term safety data are limited. The most common side effects are mild gastrointestinal symptoms—diarrhea, nausea, vomiting—though these are uncommon at typical doses.
Rare serious adverse effects include hepatitis, liver failure, and reversible cerebral vasoconstriction syndrome with bleeding. Horny Goat Weed and Puncture Vine are generally tolerated short-term, with common side effects including dizziness, nausea, and vomiting.
Rhodiola is generally well tolerated and may cause dizziness or dry mouth. Most other ingredients have limited human safety data.
Regarding pregnancy and breastfeeding: ashwagandha, Damiana, Tongkat Ali, Horny Goat Weed, Puncture Vine, and Cnidium should be avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding due to insufficient safety information or possible hormonal effects. Catuaba and Rhodiola also lack sufficient safety data for pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Maca and Muira puama have insufficient data for supplemental doses in pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before taking Power Test, check with your pharmacist if you use blood pressure medications (antihypertensives)—ashwagandha, Horny Goat Weed, Puncture Vine, and Rhodiola all interact with them at Moderate severity. Double-check if you take blood sugar medications (antidiabetes drugs), sedatives, benzodiazepines, blood thinners (anticoagulants/antiplatelet drugs), immunosuppressants, thyroid hormones, or lithium.
If you take propranolol, Tongkat Ali may reduce its effectiveness. Several ingredients interact with how your body metabolizes certain drugs through liver enzymes; your pharmacist can tell you if yours are affected.

Power Test by Dr. Seth's Vitamin Vibrations Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Power Test by Dr.
Seth's Vitamin Vibrations contains several ingredients with documented interactions with medications. The most serious concern is ashwagandha, which carries Moderate severity interactions with multiple drug types.
Ashwagandha may increase the sedative effects of CNS depressants (sedatives, barbiturates, anxiolytics) and benzodiazepines, raising the risk of excessive drowsiness and impaired function.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Ashwagandha also presents Moderate interactions with antihypertensive drugs (blood pressure medications) and antidiabetes drugs (blood sugar medications), theoretically increasing the risk of dangerously low blood pressure or low blood sugar. It may decrease the effects of immunosuppressants and increase the effects of thyroid hormones.
Additionally, ashwagandha has been linked to liver damage when combined with hepatotoxic drugs.
Other ingredients carry Moderate interactions as well. Horny Goat Weed may increase bleeding risk with anticoagulants or antiplatelet drugs (blood thinners), raise blood pressure medication effects, and affect estrogen levels or estrogen-containing medications.
Puncture Vine (Tribulus) interacts with antihypertensive drugs, antidiabetes drugs, and lithium. Rhodiola may increase bleeding risk effects with antihypertensive drugs, affect blood sugar medications, and interfere with immunosuppressants.
Tongkat Ali (Eurycoma) may reduce the effects of propranolol (a beta-blocker).
Minor interactions are documented for ashwagandha with CYP1A2 substrates, Tongkat Ali with several enzyme substrates and testosterone, Horny Goat Weed with multiple enzyme systems, and Rhodiola with enzyme substrates. We could not check N, N-Dimethylglycine Hydrochloride.
Altogether, these interactions span 1,473 individual medications. Please use the search tool on this page to check your exact medications before starting.

Serotonergic Drugs
Some animal studies have reported that ashwagandha can enhance serotonergic transmission by altering certain serotonin (5-HT) receptors. However, there is no evidence to suggest that ashwagandha increases the risk of serotonin-related effects, and there have been no published case reports of serotonin syndrome when combined with other serotonergic drugs. Nevertheless, due to the lack of extensive studies on the matter and the fact that ashwagandha appears to affect serotonergic pathways, it would be prudent to exercise caution when combining it with drugs that affect serotonin.
