Every active ingredient lists its own amount on the label.

Why this rating?
  • The label discloses an exact amount for 1 of its 1 active ingredient.
  • No proprietary blends here — you can verify the dose of every single component.

This product contains one active ingredient: raspberry ketone. It's a naturally occurring compound found in red raspberries, though the supplement form is a concentrated dose much higher than you'd get from food.

The capsule itself is made with gelatin, which is an inactive ingredient (the carrier that holds the active compound).

Evidence for Intended Use · database check
By FDA rules, dietary supplements can’t claim to treat, cure, or prevent disease — so labels speak in careful marketing language. We discern each product’s intended use from its name, label claims, and label statements, then grade the clinical evidence for that use. How these ratings are computed
Not assessable

This is a single-ingredient Raspberry Ketone product and its label doesn't state a use — see Raspberry Ketone's own graded uses on its monograph.

Why this rating?
  • We looked at the product name, claims, and label statements and couldn't find a stated purpose to grade.

The evidence isn't established in the data we hold for either of raspberry ketone's claimed uses. It's listed for both alopecia areata (a hair-loss condition) and obesity, but in both cases the research rating is insufficient reliable evidence to rate — meaning the studies so far don't give us a clear answer on whether it actually works.

How safe is it?

Well-documented data
Safety Information · database check
Well characterized

Adverse-effect, pregnancy, and general safety data are on file for most of these ingredients.

Why this rating?
  • We hold adverse-effect (side-effect) data for 1 of the 1 matched ingredient.
  • Pregnancy & breastfeeding safety ratings cover 1 of 1.
  • General safety write-ups exist for 1 of 1.
  • Remember: this measures how much safety information exists. Thin data is not the same as being safe.

Raspberry ketone is used in foods without concern, but safety data for the high supplement doses in products like this is very limited. That said, case reports and the stimulant-like structure of the compound raise real concerns: some people have reported heart palpitations, racing heart (tachycardia), elevated blood pressure, or even serious arrhythmias after taking it.

Sweating, diarrhea, and shakiness have also been reported. For pregnancy, the safety data advises against it — there isn't enough information to know if it's safe.

The same applies to breastfeeding. If you're pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding, talk with your doctor or pharmacist about whether this product is right for you.

Moderate interaction found

Moderate identified

The most serious documented interaction for these ingredients is Moderate. Check your medications for a personalized result.

Why this rating?
  • 1 of the 1 matched ingredient can interact with medications — Raspberry Ketone.
  • The most serious interaction on file is rated Moderate.
  • Some involve high-stakes drug classes: anticoagulant / antiplatelet drugs.
  • For scale: 174 individual medications appear in the full list. A big number alone doesn't make a product dangerous — what matters is whether YOUR medication is on it, so run yours through the interaction checker on this page.

Check with your doctor or pharmacist before starting if you take blood thinners like warfarin — raspberry ketone may reduce its effectiveness and raise your clotting risk. Also watch out for stimulant drugs (decongestants, some weight-loss or energy aids, certain ADHD medications) — the combination may trigger heart palpitations or dangerous heart rhythms.

The bottom line

Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no assessable stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.

This product is marketed for hair loss and weight loss, but the evidence for either use isn't clear. More importantly, it interacts with blood thinners and stimulant drugs, and case reports link it to heart palpitations and dangerous heart rhythms.

If you take warfarin or any stimulant medication, or have a heart condition, clear it with your doctor or pharmacist first — don't start this on your own.

Stimulant Drugs

Theoretically, raspberry ketone might increase the risk of adverse cardiovascular effects with stimulant drugs.
Structurally, raspberry ketone resembles synephrine, a known stimulant agent. Heart palpitations, elevated blood pressure, coronary vasospasm, pulseless electrical activity arrest, and resistant polymorphic ventricular tachycardia have been reported in patients taking raspberry ketone.

Likelihood Possible Evidence D
Warfarin (Coumadin)

Theoretically, raspberry ketone might increase warfarin dose requirements.
In one case report, a patient taking warfarin 55 mg per week had a decrease in INR over a period of one month while taking raspberry ketone 250 mg daily. A warfarin dose increase to 70 mg per week was necessary to maintain a therapeutic INR while taking raspberry ketone. The mechanism for this potential interaction is not known.

Pure Raspberry Ketone by CurEase: Common Questions

Does Pure Raspberry Ketone by CurEase interact with any medications?
Yes. Based on its ingredients, Pure Raspberry Ketone has a known interaction with 174 medications. Use the checker to see how it interacts with a specific drug.
How can one product interact with so many drugs?
Pure Raspberry Ketone contains a single active ingredient, and that one ingredient can interact with many different medications on its own. We check it against each medication and show the mechanism responsible.
Where does this information come from?
The product label data comes from the NIH Dietary Supplement Label Database (DSLD); the interaction data is built on the Natural Medicines database and reviewed by HelloPharmacist pharmacists.
Can I take this if I'm on warfarin?
No — don't start this without talking to your doctor first. Raspberry ketone has been shown to reduce warfarin's effectiveness, which puts you at risk of a blood clot. Your doctor may need to adjust your dose or advise against the supplement altogether.
What are the main side effects?
Case reports link raspberry ketone to heart palpitations, racing heartbeat, high blood pressure, and in rare cases serious heart rhythm problems. Some people also report sweating, diarrhea, and shakiness. Because stimulant-related effects are possible and human studies are limited, these risks aren't fully understood.
Is this safe in pregnancy or while breastfeeding?
No — the safety data advises against it. There isn't enough information to know if it's safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding, so talk with your doctor or pharmacist before using it if you're pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or nursing.
Does it actually work for hair loss or weight loss?
The evidence isn't clear. For both uses the research is rated as insufficient reliable evidence to rate, meaning we don't have solid proof it works in either case.
What is raspberry ketone?
It's a compound naturally found in red raspberries. This supplement gives you a concentrated dose much higher than you'd get from eating the fruit. Structurally it resembles synephrine, a known stimulant, which is why it carries cardiovascular risks.
