What’s inside
Full disclosure
Q-absorb contains one active ingredient: coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10), a compound your cells use to make energy and protect themselves from damage. Each softgel delivers 100 mg.
The softgel also contains several inactive ingredients—soy lecithin, bovine gelatin, glycerin, water, caramel color, carob, medium chain triglyceride, and mixed tocopherols—which help form the capsule and aid absorption.
Does it work?
Strong evidence
Coenzyme Q10 is likely effective for replacing CoQ10 when your body is deficient in it. It's possibly effective for fibromyalgia, migraine headache, congestive heart failure, and diabetic neuropathy based on clinical research, though results have been mixed across studies.
If you're considering this supplement for one of those conditions, talk with your doctor about whether the evidence supports it for your situation and whether 100 mg is the right dose for you.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Coenzyme Q10 is generally well tolerated by most adults when taken as directed. In clinical studies, no serious side effects have been reported.
The most common issues are mild gastrointestinal effects—appetite suppression, diarrhea, heartburn, nausea—which occur in less than 1% of people, typically with doses above 100 mg. Headache, dizziness, and insomnia have been reported occasionally; skin itching and allergic rash are rare.
There isn't enough reliable safety data for pregnancy, so it's best to avoid unless your doctor advises otherwise. Safety while breastfeeding hasn't been well studied—talk with your doctor about whether to use it.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before taking Q-absorb, check your medications carefully if you use warfarin (Coumadin) or other blood thinners—this supplement may reduce their effectiveness. If you're on chemotherapy, especially alkylating agents like cyclophosphamide, discuss it with your oncologist first.
Also mention it if you take blood pressure medications, since CoQ10 might add to their effect.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with clinical evidence supporting its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Q-absorb is a straightforward CoQ10 supplement that works best for people with documented CoQ10 deficiency or those exploring it for heart health, migraines, or nerve pain. If you take warfarin, chemotherapy, or blood pressure medication, you need to check with your doctor or pharmacist before starting—CoQ10 can affect how these drugs work.
Talk it over with your own healthcare provider to make sure it's right for you.

Q-absorb 100 mg by Jarrow Formulas Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Jarrow Formulas Q-absorb contains coenzyme Q10, which interacts with chemotherapy drugs, blood thinners, and blood pressure medications.
The most serious concern is with warfarin (Coumadin)—a blood thinner. Coenzyme Q10 can work like vitamin K in your body, which may reduce warfarin's ability to prevent clots.
Four cases of decreased warfarin effectiveness linked to coenzyme Q10 have been reported.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Coenzyme Q10 may also interfere with certain chemotherapy drugs, particularly alkylating agents like cyclophosphamide. Its antioxidant effects could theoretically protect cancer cells from these drugs, which work by generating damaging free radicals.
Additionally, coenzyme Q10 might lower blood pressure on top of what antihypertensive drugs already do. This is typically a minor effect, but if you take blood pressure medication, your levels may drop lower than intended.
Altogether, these interactions span 198 individual medications. Before starting this product, check your exact medications with the tool below—especially if you take warfarin, chemotherapy, or blood pressure drugs.

For each ingredient in Q-absorb 100 mg with known interactions, here are the types of medications it can affect. Open any type for the detail — or search your exact drug in the checker above.
Coenzyme Q10
Alkylating Agents
Coenzyme Q10 has antioxidant effects. Theoretically, this may reduce the activity of chemotherapy drugs that generate free radicals.
Theoretically, antioxidants such as coenzyme Q10 might protect tumor cells from chemotherapeutic agents that work by inducing oxidative stress, such as alkylating agents (e.g., cyclophosphamide) and radiation therapy. The clinical importance of this interaction is unknown.
Warfarin (Coumadin)
Coenzyme Q10 is chemically similar to menaquinone and might have vitamin K-like procoagulant effects, which could decrease the effects of warfarin.
Concomitant use of coenzyme Q10 and warfarin might reduce the anticoagulant effects of warfarin. Four cases of decreased warfarin efficacy thought to be due to coenzyme Q10 have been reported. However, there is some preliminary clinical research that suggests coenzyme Q10 might not significantly decrease the effects of warfarin in patients who have a stable INR.
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, coenzyme Q10 might have additive effects with antihypertensive drugs.
Some clinical research shows that coenzyme Q10 can significantly lower blood pressure, although other studies have shown conflicting results.
