Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
Q-Sorb Co Q-10 contains one active ingredient: Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) at 50 mg per softgel. CoQ10 is a compound your cells make naturally and use to produce energy.
It also acts as an antioxidant, protecting cells from damage. The softgel is made up of gelatin, rice bran oil, vegetable glycerin, and minor inactive ingredients.
These are fillers and binders that help deliver the CoQ10.
Does it work?
Strong evidence
CoQ10 is likely effective for treating CoQ10 deficiency itself. For other conditions, the evidence is mixed.
It's possibly effective for fibromyalgia, migraine headaches, congestive heart failure (a condition where the heart can't pump blood efficiently), diabetic neuropathy (nerve damage from diabetes), and migraine prevention. That means some studies show a benefit, but the proof isn't solid yet and more research is needed.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
CoQ10 is generally well tolerated by most adults when taken as directed. In clinical studies, no serious adverse effects were reported.
The most common side effects are gastrointestinal: appetite suppression, diarrhea, heartburn, nausea, and vomiting. These occur in less than 1% of people.
Headache, dizziness, and insomnia have also been reported rarely, as have skin itching and allergic rash in a small number of cases. If you're taking doses above 100 mg daily, splitting them throughout the day may help minimize stomach upset.
During pregnancy, there isn't enough reliable safety data, so it's best to avoid it unless your doctor advises otherwise. Safety during breastfeeding hasn't been well studied either.
Talk with your doctor or pharmacist about whether CoQ10 is right for you if you're pregnant or breastfeeding.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before taking Q-Sorb Co Q-10, check with your doctor or pharmacist if you take any chemotherapy drugs (alkylating agents like cyclophosphamide), warfarin or other blood thinners, or blood pressure medications. CoQ10 may reduce how well chemotherapy works, can interfere with warfarin's effectiveness, and could add to blood pressure medication effects.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with strong clinical evidence behind its ingredients' uses. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
CoQ10 may help if you're deficient in it or have fibromyalgia, migraines, heart failure, or diabetic nerve damage, though the evidence is strongest for deficiency itself. If you take warfarin, chemotherapy, or blood pressure medications, you need to check with your doctor or pharmacist before starting—this product can interfere with how they work.
It's generally well tolerated, with mostly mild stomach side effects in a small number of people.

Q-Sorb Co Q-10 50 mg by Vitamin World Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Q-Sorb Co Q-10 by Vitamin World does interact with several medication types.
The most serious concern is with chemotherapy drugs called alkylating agents (like cyclophosphamide). Because CoQ10 is a potent antioxidant, it may theoretically reduce how well these cancer medications work by protecting tumor cells from the oxidative stress these drugs rely on to kill cancer.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
A second Moderate concern involves warfarin (Coumadin), a blood thinner. CoQ10 has a chemical structure similar to vitamin K, which can promote clotting.
There are four documented cases of people taking warfarin whose blood-thinning effects decreased after starting CoQ10, though the relationship isn't certain in all cases. If you take warfarin, your doctor may need to check your clotting times more often.
CoQ10 may also have Minor interactions with blood pressure medications. Some research shows it can lower blood pressure on its own, so combining it with antihypertensive drugs (meaning drugs that lower blood pressure) could theoretically add up and drop your pressure further than intended.
Altogether, these interactions span 198 individual medications. Use the medication checker below to look up your specific prescriptions before starting this product, and talk with your doctor or pharmacist about whether CoQ10 is right for you.

For each ingredient in Q-Sorb Co Q-10 50 mg with known interactions, here are the types of medications it can affect. Open any type for the detail — or search your exact drug in the checker above.
Q-Sorb Coenzyme Q-10
Alkylating Agents
Coenzyme Q10 has antioxidant effects. Theoretically, this may reduce the activity of chemotherapy drugs that generate free radicals.
Theoretically, antioxidants such as coenzyme Q10 might protect tumor cells from chemotherapeutic agents that work by inducing oxidative stress, such as alkylating agents (e.g., cyclophosphamide) and radiation therapy. The clinical importance of this interaction is unknown.
Warfarin (Coumadin)
Coenzyme Q10 is chemically similar to menaquinone and might have vitamin K-like procoagulant effects, which could decrease the effects of warfarin.
Concomitant use of coenzyme Q10 and warfarin might reduce the anticoagulant effects of warfarin. Four cases of decreased warfarin efficacy thought to be due to coenzyme Q10 have been reported. However, there is some preliminary clinical research that suggests coenzyme Q10 might not significantly decrease the effects of warfarin in patients who have a stable INR.
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, coenzyme Q10 might have additive effects with antihypertensive drugs.
Some clinical research shows that coenzyme Q10 can significantly lower blood pressure, although other studies have shown conflicting results.
