Every active ingredient lists its own amount on the label.

Why this rating?
  • The label discloses an exact amount for 1 of its 1 active ingredient.
  • No proprietary blends here — you can verify the dose of every single component.

This product contains one active ingredient: raspberry ketones. Raspberry ketones are compounds naturally found in red raspberries; the supplement provides a concentrated form.

There are no other inactive ingredients listed.

Evidence for Intended Use · database check
By FDA rules, dietary supplements can’t claim to treat, cure, or prevent disease — so labels speak in careful marketing language. We discern each product’s intended use from its name, label claims, and label statements, then grade the clinical evidence for that use. How these ratings are computed
Not assessable

This is a single-ingredient Raspberry Ketone product and its label doesn't state a use — see Raspberry Ketone's own graded uses on its monograph.

Why this rating?
  • We looked at the product name, claims, and label statements and couldn't find a stated purpose to grade.

The evidence for raspberry ketones is limited. For both obesity and alopecia areata (a condition causing hair loss), we hold insufficient reliable evidence to rate how well it works.

If you're considering it for either of these reasons, the data available doesn't yet establish whether it's effective.

How safe is it?

Well-documented data
Safety Information · database check
Well characterized

Adverse-effect, pregnancy, and general safety data are on file for most of these ingredients.

Why this rating?
  • We hold adverse-effect (side-effect) data for 1 of the 1 matched ingredient.
  • Pregnancy & breastfeeding safety ratings cover 1 of 1.
  • General safety write-ups exist for 1 of 1.
  • Remember: this measures how much safety information exists. Thin data is not the same as being safe.

Raspberry ketones are used safely in foods, but human safety data for the high doses found in supplements is very limited. Because of its structural similarity to stimulants, side effects are possible—case reports describe heart palpitations, elevated blood pressure, coronary narrowing, irregular heartbeats, sweating, diarrhea, and shakiness, though these are not well studied in humans.

The safety information during pregnancy advises against use of concentrated supplements. Similarly, there isn't enough data to know whether it's safe while breastfeeding.

Talk with your doctor or pharmacist before taking it if you're pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding.

The most serious documented interaction for these ingredients is Moderate. Check your medications for a personalized result.

Why this rating?
  • 1 of the 1 matched ingredient can interact with medications — Raspberry Ketone.
  • The most serious interaction on file is rated Moderate.
  • Some involve high-stakes drug classes: anticoagulant / antiplatelet drugs.
  • For scale: 174 individual medications appear in the full list. A big number alone doesn't make a product dangerous — what matters is whether YOUR medication is on it, so run yours through the interaction checker on this page.

Before taking this product, check with your doctor or pharmacist if you take stimulant medications (including over-the-counter stimulants) or warfarin (Coumadin). Both interactions are Moderate severity and could affect how your medication works or increase the risk of side effects.

The bottom line

Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no assessable stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.

Raspberry Ketones may be of interest to someone looking for support with weight or hair concerns, but the evidence for effectiveness isn't established. The bigger issue is the potential interaction with stimulant drugs and blood thinners like warfarin—if you take either, this product isn't appropriate without your doctor's clearance.

Check your medications and discuss this supplement with your doctor or pharmacist before starting.

Stimulant Drugs

Theoretically, raspberry ketone might increase the risk of adverse cardiovascular effects with stimulant drugs.
Structurally, raspberry ketone resembles synephrine, a known stimulant agent. Heart palpitations, elevated blood pressure, coronary vasospasm, pulseless electrical activity arrest, and resistant polymorphic ventricular tachycardia have been reported in patients taking raspberry ketone.

Likelihood Possible Evidence D
Warfarin (Coumadin)

Theoretically, raspberry ketone might increase warfarin dose requirements.
In one case report, a patient taking warfarin 55 mg per week had a decrease in INR over a period of one month while taking raspberry ketone 250 mg daily. A warfarin dose increase to 70 mg per week was necessary to maintain a therapeutic INR while taking raspberry ketone. The mechanism for this potential interaction is not known.

Raspberry Ketones by BulkSupplements.com: Common Questions

Does Raspberry Ketones by BulkSupplements.com interact with any medications?
Yes. Based on its ingredients, Raspberry Ketones has a known interaction with 174 medications. Use the checker to see how it interacts with a specific drug.
How can one product interact with so many drugs?
Raspberry Ketones contains a single active ingredient, and that one ingredient can interact with many different medications on its own. We check it against each medication and show the mechanism responsible.
Where does this information come from?
The product label data comes from the NIH Dietary Supplement Label Database (DSLD); the interaction data is built on the Natural Medicines database and reviewed by HelloPharmacist pharmacists.
Can I take raspberry ketones if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?
No—safety data is insufficient during pregnancy and breastfeeding. The product label advises against concentrated supplements in both cases. Talk with your doctor or pharmacist about whether this product is right for you if you're pregnant, planning pregnancy, or nursing.
What side effects might I experience?
Although not well studied, case reports describe heart palpitations, elevated blood pressure, irregular heartbeats, sweating, diarrhea, and shakiness. These stem from the fact that raspberry ketone is structurally similar to synephrine, a stimulant compound. If you experience any of these, stop taking it and contact your doctor.
Does raspberry ketone actually work for weight loss or hair loss?
The evidence isn't established. For both obesity and alopecia areata (hair loss), we hold insufficient reliable evidence to say whether it's effective. The research data we have doesn't yet support a clear benefit.
Why does this interact with warfarin?
In one documented case, a patient taking warfarin needed a significant dose increase while taking raspberry ketone daily to keep their blood thinner working properly. This suggests raspberry ketone may speed up how your body breaks down warfarin, making it less effective. If you take warfarin, your doctor needs to know before you start this.
