Restore-Biotic Complete Ingredients & Drug Interactions
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Restore-Biotic Complete against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

What’s inside
Low disclosure
Restore-Biotic Complete is a 12-ingredient probiotic blend containing live bacterial cultures. The active ingredients are beneficial bacteria strains including Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Bifidobacterium bifidum, Bifidobacterium lactis, Lactobacillus casei, Lactobacillus paracasei, Streptococcus thermophilus, Lactobacillus salivarius, Bifidobacterium longum, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactococcus lactis, Lactobacillus plantarum, and Bifidobacterium breve—each selected for its potential role in supporting gut health.
The capsules also contain inactive ingredients: hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, water, gellan gum, microcystalline cellulose, Nu-Mag, and silica, which serve as binders, fillers, and capsule material.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
The evidence for this blend's effectiveness is mixed across its ingredients. Lactobacillus acidophilus shows possibly effective evidence for irritable bowel syndrome, Helicobacter pylori infection, antibiotic-associated diarrhea, and bacterial vaginosis.
Bifidobacterium bifidum and Lactobacillus acidophilus are both rated possibly effective for irritable bowel syndrome, and both show possibly effective ratings for respiratory tract infections. For many other uses listed on the blend—such as hay fever, anxiety, cognitive decline, asthma, and antibiotic-associated diarrhea for some strains—the evidence is insufficient to make a reliable rating.
Streptococcus thermophilus and several other strains have been studied for conditions like antibiotic-associated diarrhea, bacterial vaginosis, and constipation, but the evidence is not yet reliable enough to rate them. If you're considering this product for a specific condition, it's worth asking your doctor or pharmacist whether any of these strains have meaningful evidence for your use.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
The probiotics in this product are generally well tolerated in healthy people. However, those with weakened immune systems should be cautious, as rare cases of bacterial blood infection (bacteremia) have been reported in critically ill patients, premature infants, and people with central lines or severe illness who took probiotics.
In healthy individuals with intact immune systems, such infections are extremely uncommon. Common gastrointestinal side effects reported with probiotic use include bloating and flatulence, though these haven't been reported specifically from all strains in this blend.
Rare cases of abdominal discomfort, pain, and distension have been reported with some ingredients. Pregnancy is rated possibly safe for Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium longum, but safety data during lactation are limited—talk with your doctor or pharmacist before use during nursing.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before taking this product, check your medications against antibiotic drugs—the most serious documented interaction. The probiotics' live organisms may be killed if you take antibiotics at the same time, reducing the supplement's effectiveness.
Separate dosing by a few hours if possible, and talk with your doctor or pharmacist about the best timing for your situation.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
This probiotic blend may be worth considering if you're looking to support gut health, especially for conditions like irritable bowel syndrome or after antibiotic use, where some of its strains show possibly effective evidence. If you take antibiotics, separate them from this supplement by a few hours to protect the live organisms.
Anyone with a weakened immune system, serious illness, central lines, or who is very young or very old should check with their doctor first. Run your medications through the interaction checker on this page before starting.
