This powder contains 5 active ingredients: two spore-forming Bacillus strains (subtilis and coagulans), one more Bacillus strain (clausii), plus FOS and XOS. The Bacillus strains are probiotics — live beneficial bacteria meant to support your gut.
FOS and XOS are prebiotics, which are types of fiber that feed the good bacteria already in your system. The powder also includes rice dextrin and silicon dioxide as inactive ingredients (fillers and flow agents).
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
Bacillus coagulans is possibly effective for constipation and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Bacillus subtilis is possibly effective for antibiotic-associated diarrhea — the kind you get when antibiotics wipe out your normal gut bacteria.
For other uses — athletic performance, blood sugar control, eczema, and several others — the evidence we have isn't strong enough to say whether either strain works. We don't have effectiveness data on file for FOS, XOS, or Bacillus clausii.

Both Bacillus subtilis and coagulans are generally well tolerated in healthy adults, though the safety profile varies between products and strains. In trials, headache and diarrhea have been reported rarely.
There's a theoretical concern that live probiotic organisms could cause infection in people with severely weakened immune systems, central lines, or critical illness — but these cases are uncommon in otherwise healthy people. Bacillus subtilis (MTCC 5981)
Antibiotic Drugs
Theoretically, taking Bacillus subtilis with antibiotic drugs might decrease the effectiveness of B. subtilis.
Since B. subtilis preparations usually contain live and active organisms, simultaneously taking antibiotics might kill a significant number of the organisms. Tell patients to separate administration of antibiotics and B. subtilis preparations by at least 2 hours.
Bacillus coagulans (MTCC 5856)

Theoretically, taking antibiotics with Bacillus coagulans might decrease the effectiveness of B. coagulans.
B. coagulans preparations usually contain live and active organisms. Therefore, simultaneously taking antibiotics might kill a significant number of the organisms. Tell patients to separate administration of antibiotics and B. coagulans preparations by at least two hours.
