Here's the thing about clobetasol: it's a strong steroid, but you're rubbing it on your skin, not swallowing a pill. The interaction on file warns that steroids plus a stimulant laxative like alder buckthorn could both lower your potassium. That concern really applies to steroids taken by mouth or by injection that reach your whole body.

With clobetasol cream or scalp solution, very little gets into your bloodstream in most cases, so a meaningful drop in potassium from this pairing is unlikely. This is a theoretical caution based on how these drugs work, not strong evidence. Still, if you're using clobetasol over large areas for a long time, or you feel weak or crampy, check with your pharmacist before using alder buckthorn.
