Here's the basic idea with alfalfa and a medication like Orthoclone OKT3 (muromonab-CD3). This drug is a powerful immune-suppressing treatment, usually given in the hospital to stop your body from rejecting a transplanted organ. Its whole job is to quiet down the immune system. Alfalfa, on the other hand, has compounds that may rev the immune system up a bit. So in theory, they pull in opposite directions, and alfalfa could chip away at how well your transplant medicine works.

I want to be honest about the evidence here: this concern comes from lab studies and a few case reports, not strong human trials, so it's theoretical. Still, with something this important, I wouldn't take chances. Please don't add an alfalfa supplement without first checking with your transplant team or pharmacist.
