Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
Antihypertensive Drugs
Why this applies to Treprostinil (Inh)
Treprostinil (Inh) falls under Antihypertensive Drugs — the group Beet interacts with.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the simple version: inhaled treprostinil (Tyvaso) works by widening blood vessels, and beets do a little of the same thing thanks to their natural nitrates. When you stack two things that relax blood vessels, you could see a bit more of a blood-pressure dip. In practice that might show up as feeling lightheaded, dizzy, flushed, or getting a headache, especially when you stand up quickly.
The good news is this is rated a minor interaction. The research shows any drop from beets is usually small and short-lived, and food amounts (a salad or a normal glass of beet juice) are unlikely to cause trouble. Concentrated beetroot supplements are where I'd be a little more careful. If you notice new dizziness, mention it to your pharmacist or doctor before changing anything.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Treprostinil (Inh) page
“Inhaled treprostinil (Tyvaso) relaxes blood vessels in the lungs to treat pulmonary hypertension, and it also blunts platelet clotting, which is why this list of 275 ingredients warrants real vigilance rather than a shrug. Two themes cover almost everything.”

About Beet
What is Beet?
- High blood pressure
- Exercise and athletic performance
- Heart and circulation support
- General antioxidant/anti-inflammatory support
- Liver and digestive support
Beet, especially beetroot juice, is a nitrate-rich food that may modestly lower blood pressure and slightly improve exercise performance in some people. It is generally safe as a food, but supplement effects are modest and not a substitute for prescribed treatment, so talk with your pharmacist or doctor before relying on it.
About Treprostinil Oral Inhalation
What Is Treprostinil Oral Inhalation Used For?
Brand name: Tyvaso
Treprostinil oral inhalation is used to treat two serious lung conditions that raise pressure in the blood vessels of the lungs. It helps improve how much physical activity you can do.
Tyvaso inhalation solution and Tyvaso DPI are both indicated to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH; WHO Group 1) and pulmonary hypertension associated with interstitial lung disease (PH-ILD; WHO Group 3). Clinical studies establishing effectiveness in PAH primarily included patients with moderate symptoms (NYHA Class III) whose PAH was idiopathic, heritable, or related to connective tissue disease. Studies in PH-ILD primarily included patients with idiopathic interstitial pneumonia, combined pulmonary fibrosis and emphysema, or connective tissue disease-related lung disease.
