Beta-methylphenethylamine (bmpea) + Futibatinib
Futibatinib brand name: Lytgobi.
Beta-methylphenethylamine (bmpea) has a moderate interaction with Futibatinib. Theoretically, BMPEA might increase the levels and clinical effects of CYP3A4 substrates.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES
Why this applies to Futibatinib
Futibatinib falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Beta-methylphenethylamine (bmpea) interacts with.
In vitro research shows that BMPEA inhibits CYP3A4 by up to 37%.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the basic idea with Lytgobi (futibatinib). Your body relies on a liver enzyme called CYP3A4 to help clear this cancer medicine. In lab studies, BMPEA blocked that enzyme by about a third. If that holds true in people, your futibatinib could be cleared more slowly and build up higher than intended.
Futibatinib isn't a prodrug, so more drug in your system can mean stronger side effects, things like high phosphate levels, dry or irritated eyes, mouth sores, diarrhea, nausea, fatigue, and changes in liver tests. I'll be honest though, this concern is theoretical and comes from a test tube, not from human studies. Even so, BMPEA is an unproven stimulant with real heart risks, so please run any supplement past your oncologist or pharmacist first.

What These Ratings Mean
Every interaction above is graded three ways — here’s the key to each label.
Clinically significant. Avoid the combination, or use only under close professional supervision.
Usually worth avoiding or managing — may need monitoring, a dose change, or timing apart.
Generally not serious. Be aware of it and mention it to your pharmacist.

- ProbableInteraction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports.
- PossibleInteraction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
- UnlikelyInteraction has been demonstrated in animal or in lab research but has been shown not to occur in humans.

About Beta-methylphenethylamine (bmpea)
What is Beta-methylphenethylamine (bmpea)?
- Weight loss
- Pre-workout energy
- Athletic performance
- Appetite suppression
- Mental focus
Beta-methylphenethylamine (BMPEA) is a synthetic stimulant chemically similar to amphetamine that has been found in some weight-loss and sports supplements, often without being clearly listed on the label. It is not an approved or well-studied dietary ingredient, and regulators have warned that it may carry real cardiovascular risks. Because of safety concerns and the lack of human research, it is best avoided.
About Futibatinib
What Is Futibatinib Used For?
Brand name: Lytgobi
Futibatinib (brand name Lytgobi) treats adults with intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma, a cancer of the bile ducts inside the liver. It is for cancer that has already been treated, can't be removed by surgery, and is locally advanced or has spread.
The tumor must have an FGFR2 gene fusion or other rearrangement. This use is under accelerated approval, so continued approval may depend on confirmatory trials.
