Beta-methylphenethylamine (bmpea) + Triazolam
Triazolam brand names: Halcion, Triazo, Apo-Triazo, Gen-Triazolam, Mylan-Triazolam, and others.
Beta-methylphenethylamine (bmpea) has a moderate interaction with Triazolam. Theoretically, BMPEA might increase the levels and clinical effects of CYP3A4 substrates.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES
Why this applies to Triazolam
Triazolam falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Beta-methylphenethylamine (bmpea) interacts with.
In vitro research shows that BMPEA inhibits CYP3A4 by up to 37%.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist for triazolam (Halcion): your liver clears it using an enzyme called CYP3A4. Lab studies suggest BMPEA can partly block that same enzyme (by about a third in a test tube). If that happens in real life, triazolam could hang around longer and hit harder than you expect.
For a short-acting sleep aid, that might mean extra drowsiness, a groggy or hungover feeling the next morning, dizziness, poor coordination, or memory gaps. On top of that, BMPEA is a stimulant that can raise heart rate and blood pressure, so pairing it with a sedative is a strange and unpredictable mix. This interaction is only theoretical right now, based on lab data, not human studies. Still, since BMPEA itself is risky and best avoided, please run this by your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

About Beta-methylphenethylamine (bmpea)
What is Beta-methylphenethylamine (bmpea)?
- Weight loss
- Pre-workout energy
- Athletic performance
- Appetite suppression
- Mental focus
Beta-methylphenethylamine (BMPEA) is a synthetic stimulant chemically similar to amphetamine that has been found in some weight-loss and sports supplements, often without being clearly listed on the label. It is not an approved or well-studied dietary ingredient, and regulators have warned that it may carry real cardiovascular risks. Because of safety concerns and the lack of human research, it is best avoided.
About Triazolam
What Is Triazolam Used For?
Brand names: Halcion, Triazo, Apo-Triazo, Gen-Triazolam, Mylan-Triazolam, Novo-Triolam, Nu-Triazo
Triazolam tablets are approved for the short-term treatment of insomnia in adults. Treatment is generally intended for 7 to 10 days. Halcion (a brand of triazolam) is specifically indicated for this same short-term use in adults.
Using triazolam for more than 2 to 3 weeks requires a full re-evaluation by your doctor to rule out an underlying medical or psychiatric condition driving the sleep problem.
