Aspirin, Codeine Phosphate, Phenobarbital falls under SEIZURE THRESHOLD LOWERING DRUGS — the group Biofeedback interacts with.

There is some concern that electroencephalogram (EEG) biofeedback might lower the seizure threshold in some patients. Theoretically, combining EEG biofeedback with seizure threshold-lowering drugs might increase the risk of seizure.
Some drugs that lower the seizure threshold include anesthetics (propofol, others), antiarrhythmics (mexiletine), antibiotics (amphotericin, penicillin, cephalosporins, imipenem), antidepressants (bupropion, others), antihistamines (cyproheptadine, others), immunosuppressants (cyclosporine), narcotics (fentanyl, others), stimulants (methylphenidate), theophylline, and others.

Let me reassure you first: this is a mostly theoretical concern, not something we see often. The worry on file is with one specific kind of biofeedback, EEG (brainwave) biofeedback, which some reports suggest might slightly lower the seizure threshold in certain people. Other types of biofeedback (like muscle tension or heart rate training) are not really part of this concern.

Here's the interesting twist with your combo pill: the phenobarbital in it is actually an anti-seizure medicine that raises the seizure threshold, so it largely works in the opposite direction. The codeine piece is the one that, in high amounts, could in theory nudge the threshold down. Bottom line, the risk here is low and uncertain. If you have a seizure history, just mention the EEG biofeedback to your doctor or pharmacist first.
