Blond Psyllium + Chlorpromazine
Chlorpromazine brand names: Thorazine, Thorazine Spansules.
Blond Psyllium has a minor interaction with Chlorpromazine. Theoretically, psyllium might increase, decrease, or have no effect on the absorption of oral drugs.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
ORAL DRUGS
Why this applies to Chlorpromazine
Chlorpromazine falls under ORAL DRUGS — the group Blond Psyllium interacts with.
Psyllium seems to have variable effects on drug absorption. To avoid changes in absorption, take psyllium 30-60 minutes after oral medications. Animal research shows that blond psyllium delays and increases the absorption of metformin and ethinyl estradiol. Conversely, case reports and animal research suggest that blond psyllium might reduce absorption of lithium, digoxin, olanzapine, and carbamazepine. Finally, some pharmacokinetic studies show that psyllium does not affect the absorption of levothyroxine or warfarin.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the simple version: blond psyllium is a thick, gel-forming fiber. When it sits in your gut alongside a swallowed pill, that gel can sometimes grab onto the medicine and slow or lessen how much gets absorbed. Chlorpromazine is taken by mouth and works in your bloodstream, so in theory the fiber could trim how much you take in. It is not a prodrug, so less absorbed simply means a weaker effect.
If that happened, your symptoms might be less well controlled. To be safe, the usual tip is to take chlorpromazine first and wait about 30 to 60 minutes before your psyllium. This is a minor, theoretical concern, but please run the timing past your pharmacist or doctor before changing anything.
