Cyclopentolate falls under ORAL DRUGS — the group Blond Psyllium interacts with.

Theoretically, psyllium might increase, decrease, or have no effect on the absorption of oral drugs.
Psyllium seems to have variable effects on drug absorption. To avoid changes in absorption, take psyllium 30-60 minutes after oral medications. Animal research shows that blond psyllium delays and increases the absorption of metformin and ethinyl estradiol. Conversely, case reports and animal research suggest that blond psyllium might reduce absorption of lithium, digoxin, olanzapine, and carbamazepine. Finally, some pharmacokinetic studies show that psyllium does not affect the absorption of levothyroxine or warfarin.

Here is some reassuring news. Cyclopentolate (Cyclogyl) is given as eye drops, not as a pill you swallow. The concern on file is about psyllium changing how the gut absorbs oral medicines. Since cyclopentolate goes directly into your eye, your fiber supplement and your digestive tract are not really part of the picture for it.

The flagged interaction is also only theoretical and rated minor, so even for swallowed drugs it is a gentle, uncertain effect. For your dilating drops before an eye exam, I would not expect psyllium to weaken or strengthen the pupil dilation or blurred vision they cause. If you take other oral medications, a simple habit is to take psyllium 30 to 60 minutes after them, and check with your pharmacist if you are unsure.
