Amitriptyline falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Bog Labrador Tea interacts with.

In vitro research shows that aqueous and ethanolic extracts of Bog Labrador tea leaves can increase the concentration of cytochrome P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) enzymes. Extracts obtained from different geographical regions in Quebec resulted in differing potency of CYP3A4 induction. Bog Labrador tea might increase the metabolism of CYP3A4 substrates.
Drugs metabolized by CYP3A4 include lovastatin (Mevacor), clarithromycin (Biaxin), cyclosporine (Neoral, Sandimmune), diltiazem (Cardizem), estrogens, indinavir (Crixivan), amiodarone (Cordarone), ticagrelor (Brilinta), triazolam (Halcion), and others.

Here's the gist for amitriptyline (Elavil). Your body partly uses an enzyme called CYP3A4 to break this antidepressant down. Lab studies suggest Bog Labrador tea can rev up that enzyme (this is called induction), which in theory means your liver could clear amitriptyline a little faster. If that happens, you might get less benefit from your dose, so symptoms like low mood or trouble sleeping could creep back.

I want to be honest about the evidence though: this only comes from test-tube and extract studies, not real people, and the strength varied a lot by where the plant was grown. So it's a possible concern, not a proven one. Before adding this tea, please check with your pharmacist or doctor so your dose stays effective.
