Broccoli Sprout + Lenalidomide
Lenalidomide brand name: Revlimid.
We found no known interaction between Broccoli Sprout and Lenalidomide in our sources. Absence of a documented interaction is not the same as proven safety, and does not guarantee one does not exist. Do not start, stop, or change a medication or supplement based on this page; confirm with your pharmacist or doctor first. Additionally, although there is no interaction, the two are separately associated with some of the same side effects, which would make a new symptom harder to attribute to one or the other.
Broccoli Sprout and Lenalidomide
We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.
No Known Interaction Found
We did not find a documented interaction between Lenalidomide and Broccoli Sprout in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — there is often limited research on supplements and herbal products, especially around drug interactions.
If you decide to take both, the practical routine is simple: add one new thing at a time and note the date you started it. If the combination is going to disagree with you, it usually shows in the first days to a couple of weeks — and a start date turns “I’ve been feeling off” into something a pharmacist can actually work with. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.
Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

Why No Interaction Is Listed for Lenalidomide
Interactions in our licensed database are recorded against drug classes, not just single drug names. Lenalidomide is filed under 2 classifications — immunosuppressants, oral drugs. Broccoli Sprout has documented interactions with 2 drug classes — the most serious being cytochrome p450 1a2 (cyp1a2) substrates (minor) and cytochrome p450 2a6 (cyp2a6) substrates (minor) — and none of Lenalidomide’s classifications are among them.
Classification data comes from our licensed Natural Medicines dataset. A medication can belong to classes beyond those recorded there, so this describes how the check was run — it is not a safety guarantee.
Broccoli Sprout Does Interact With Other Medications

Broccoli Sprout in Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
When COOKED broccoli sprouts are consumed in amounts commonly found in foods. Broccoli sprout is considered safe for dietary consumption provided the sprouts are grown in accordance with food safety recommendations developed by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and are cooked prior to eating.
When RAW broccoli sprouts are consumed in amounts commonly found in foods. There is evidence that uncooked broccoli sprouts may be contaminated with bacteria, including Listeria monocytogenes, Salmonella, or Escherichia coli O157:H7. Pregnant individuals are particularly susceptible to these food-borne illnesses, and becoming infected can increase the risk of miscarriage, stillbirth, premature birth, or neonatal infection. There is insufficient reliable information available about the safety of broccoli sprout extract during pregnancy or lactation; avoid using.

“People taking lenalidomide (Revlimid) for multiple myeloma are often drawn to immune-boosting supplements, which is exactly why this list deserves genuine care. - What “no known interaction” means: no documented interaction in the sources above — not a guarantee of safety. Supplements are studied far less than prescription drugs, so we say exactly what the evidence supports, and nothing more.
About Broccoli Sprout
What is Broccoli Sprout?
- Antioxidant support
- Detoxification support
- General heart health
- Anti-inflammatory support
- Digestive and gut health
Broccoli sprouts are young broccoli seedlings rich in a compound called sulforaphane, which is being studied for antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and detoxification effects. Early research is promising for some uses, but high-quality human evidence is still limited, so they should be viewed as a healthy food rather than a proven treatment. As food they are generally safe, but talk to your pharmacist or doctor before using concentrated supplements, especially during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Brassica oleracea var. italica · Brassicaceae · Young sprouts (seedlings) of the broccoli plant · Fresh sprouts, powders, capsules, tablets, and standardized extracts (often labeled as containing sulforaphane or glucoraphanin)
An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether Broccoli Sprout is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our Broccoli Sprout record says about it on its own.
Broccoli Sprout: dosing
There is no official standardized dose for broccoli sprouts or their extracts. Studies have used different forms and amounts, often described by the amount of glucoraphanin or sulforaphane, which makes comparison difficult. If you are eating them as food, a serving as part of a balanced diet is reasonable. If you choose a supplement, follow the directions on the product label and choose a reputable brand.

About Lenalidomide
What Is Lenalidomide Used For?
Brand name: Revlimid
Lenalidomide capsules (brand names Revlimid and Lenalidomide) are used to treat several blood cancers and related conditions in adults. These include multiple myeloma (MM) — both in combination with dexamethasone and as maintenance therapy after a stem cell transplant — and transfusion-dependent anemia caused by low- or intermediate-1-risk myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) linked to a specific chromosome change called deletion 5q.
Lenalidomide capsules are also used for mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) that has come back or stopped responding after at least two prior treatments (one of which included bortezomib). In combination with a rituximab product, they treat previously treated follicular lymphoma (FL) and previously treated marginal zone lymphoma (MZL). Lenalidomide is not approved for chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) outside of clinical trials.
Most-Reported Side Effects for Lenalidomide
From FAERS, the FDA’s public side-effect reporting system (420,080 reports, all brands). Reports are voluntary and are not proof the drug caused the effect.
