Celiprolol falls under P-GLYCOPROTEIN SUBSTRATES — the group Bulbine Natalensis interacts with.

Theoretically, Bulbine natalensis stem might increase the levels and clinical effects of p-glycoprotein substrates.
In vitro research shows that Bulbine natalensis stem extract induces p-glycoprotein mRNA expression; however, effects on transporter expression were not evaluated.

Here's the situation with celiprolol and Bulbine natalensis. Celiprolol is a beta-blocker used for blood pressure, and it happens to rely on a transporter protein called P-glycoprotein to move in and out of your gut and cells. The concern on file is that Bulbine may nudge that transporter, which could in theory change how much celiprolol your body actually absorbs and keeps around.

I want to be honest about how thin this evidence is. It comes only from lab (test-tube) research, not from people, and the study didn't even confirm the transporter activity changed. So this is mostly theoretical. Still, since celiprolol affects heart rate and blood pressure, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them. Don't change anything on your own.
