Naproxen, Pseudoephedrine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) SUBSTRATES — the group Bulbine Natalensis interacts with.

Theoretically, Bulbine natalensis stem might reduce the levels and clinical effects of CYP1A2 substrates.
In vitro research shows that Bulbine natalensis stem extract slightly induces CYP1A2 mRNA expression and enzyme activity. Theoretically, this may increase the metabolism of CYP1A2 substrates; however, this has not been studied in humans.

Here's the gist for Aleve Cold and Sinus (naproxen plus pseudoephedrine). Lab studies hint that Bulbine natalensis may gently speed up an enzyme called CYP1A2. In theory, a faster enzyme could clear certain medicines a bit quicker, which might make them slightly less effective. Neither naproxen nor pseudoephedrine is a prodrug, so there's no flip to worry about here.

Honestly, this is very weak, test-tube and animal-level evidence only, and it hasn't been shown in real people, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. The bigger reason to be cautious is that Bulbine has raised liver and kidney concerns in animals, and naproxen is already hard on the kidneys and stomach. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing them.

Here's the gist with Aleve Cold and Sinus: the naproxen part is cleared by a liver enzyme called CYP2C9. Lab studies hint that Bulbine natalensis may speed up that enzyme, which in theory could break naproxen down a little faster and make it work less well for your aches, fever, or sinus pain.

I want to be honest, though, this is only test-tube data and has never been checked in real people, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. The bigger concern with Bulbine is that animal studies flagged possible liver and kidney stress, and naproxen can already be tough on the kidneys and stomach. Since the human evidence for this supplement is thin, please run it past your pharmacist or doctor before combining the two.

Theoretically, combining Bulbine natalensis leaf with drugs that have anticoagulant or antiplatelet activity might increase the risk of bruising and bleeding.
In vitro research shows that Bulbine natalensis ground leaf extract inhibits platelet aggregation.

Here's the thing to keep in mind with Aleve Cold and Sinus. The naproxen part is an NSAID, and NSAIDs already make your platelets a little less sticky, which can raise the chance of bruising, nosebleeds, or stomach irritation and bleeding. In lab (test tube) studies, Bulbine natalensis also slowed platelets from clumping together. So in theory, stacking the two could nudge that bleeding risk a bit higher.

I want to be straight with you though: this is a theoretical concern based on pharmacology and lab data, not real-world human reports, so don't panic. Watch for easy bruising, gums bleeding, dark stools, or cuts that won't stop. And given the liver and kidney questions around this supplement, please run it by your pharmacist or doctor first.
