Here's the thinking with Vumerity (diroximel fumarate). This MS medicine works partly by calming down an overactive immune system to protect your nerves. Bupleurum, on the other hand, has shown signs in lab dish and animal studies that it might stimulate immune activity. So the worry is that the herb could work against what your medication is trying to do, potentially making it less effective at keeping MS relapses in check.

I want to be honest about the evidence here: this is theoretical only, based on test-tube and animal data, not real patients. So please don't panic. Bupleurum has also been linked to liver and lung issues on its own, so I'd loop in your neurologist or pharmacist before combining the two.
