Bupivacaine, Meloxicam falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2C9 (CYP2C9) SUBSTRATES — the group Cannabinol (cbn) interacts with.

Theoretically, cannabinol might increase the levels and clinical effects of CYP2C9 substrates.
In vitro research shows that cannabinol potently inhibits CYP2C9 enzymes. So far, this interaction has not been reported in humans.

Zynrelef is a combo product placed in a surgical wound: bupivacaine (a numbing local anesthetic) plus meloxicam (an anti-inflammatory, or NSAID). The meloxicam part is cleared mostly by a liver enzyme called CYP2C9. In lab dish studies, CBN appears to block that enzyme. If that happened in a person, meloxicam could build up a bit and linger longer, which might nudge up NSAID-type side effects like stomach upset, heartburn, higher blood pressure, fluid retention, or kidney strain.

Here's the important part: this is only test-tube data, and it has never been reported in real people. Zynrelef is also a one-time, in-hospital dose, so the window of overlap is short. Still, mention any CBN use to your surgical team or pharmacist beforehand.
