Clomipramine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2C9 (CYP2C9) SUBSTRATES — the group Cannabinol (cbn) interacts with.

Theoretically, cannabinol might increase the levels and clinical effects of CYP2C9 substrates.
In vitro research shows that cannabinol potently inhibits CYP2C9 enzymes. So far, this interaction has not been reported in humans.

Here's the idea behind this pairing. Your body uses a liver enzyme called CYP2C9 (among others) to help break down clomipramine. In lab dish studies, CBN appears to block that enzyme fairly strongly. If that happened in real life, clomipramine could clear more slowly and build up in your system, nudging up its usual side effects like drowsiness, dry mouth, constipation, blurred vision, dizziness, or a faster heartbeat.

The important caveat: this is only test-tube research, and it has never actually been reported in people, so treat it as a theoretical concern rather than a proven problem. Since clomipramine is a sensitive medication, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before adding CBN, rather than starting or stopping anything on your own.
