Mestranol, Norethindrone falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) INHIBITORS — the group Cannabinol (cbn) interacts with.

Theoretically, CYP3A4 inhibitors might increase the levels and clinical effects of cannabinol.
In vitro research shows that CYP3A4 enzymes are involved in the 8-hydroxylation of cannabinol. So far, this interaction has not been reported in humans.

Here's the thing to keep in mind: your birth control pill (mestranol and norethindrone) is one of many medicines that can mildly slow down the CYP3A4 enzyme. Cannabinol (CBN) happens to be broken down partly by that same enzyme. So in theory, taking them together could let CBN build up a little and feel stronger, meaning more of whatever CBN does, like extra drowsiness or grogginess.

I want to be honest about how thin the evidence is. This idea comes only from lab (test tube) studies, and it has never actually been reported in real people. The direction runs toward more CBN effect, not less protection from your pill. Still, since cannabis products vary so much, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
