Osimertinib Mesylate falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) INHIBITORS — the group Cannabinol (cbn) interacts with.

Theoretically, CYP3A4 inhibitors might increase the levels and clinical effects of cannabinol.
In vitro research shows that CYP3A4 enzymes are involved in the 8-hydroxylation of cannabinol. So far, this interaction has not been reported in humans.

Here's the key thing to notice: in this pairing, it's your osimertinib (Tagrisso) that affects the supplement, not the other way around. CBN appears to be broken down partly by an enzyme called CYP3A4, and osimertinib can mildly block that same enzyme. In theory, that could slow how fast you clear CBN, letting it build up a little and feel stronger than expected (think more drowsiness or grogginess if you're using it for sleep).

I'll be honest with you, though: this is based only on lab research, not real people, so it's quite uncertain. What concerns me more is the bigger picture. Your cancer treatment is too important to risk with an unproven cannabis product of variable quality. Please loop in your oncologist or pharmacist before adding CBN.

About Osimertinib

What Is Osimertinib Used For?

Brand name: Tagrisso

Tagrisso is used to treat adults with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) whose tumors have specific EGFR mutations — either an exon 19 deletion or an exon 21 L858R mutation — confirmed by an FDA-approved test. It is used in several settings: after surgery to reduce the risk of cancer returning (adjuvant therapy), for locally advanced stage III NSCLC that has not progressed after chemoradiation, and as a first-line treatment for locally advanced or metastatic NSCLC (including in combination with pemetrexed and platinum-based chemotherapy).

Tagrisso is also approved for adults with metastatic NSCLC that carries a specific resistance mutation called T790M, when the cancer has stopped responding to another EGFR-targeted therapy.
