Cauliflower + Clomipramine
Clomipramine brand names: Anafranil, Anafranil SR.
Cauliflower has a moderate interaction with Clomipramine. Preliminary clinical evidence suggests that eating cruciferous vegetables, including broccoli, cauliflower, daikon radish sprouts, and cabbage, can increase cytochrome P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) activity by 14% to 27%.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CYTOCHROME P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) SUBSTRATES
Why this applies to Clomipramine
Clomipramine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) SUBSTRATES — the group Cauliflower interacts with.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist: your body partly clears clomipramine using a liver enzyme called CYP1A2. Cruciferous veggies like cauliflower can nudge that enzyme to work a little faster (studies suggest a 14% to 27% bump). In theory, that could move clomipramine out of your system a bit quicker and make it slightly less effective, which for OCD might mean your symptoms aren't as well controlled.
That said, this is mild and based on limited evidence. Normal amounts of cauliflower on your plate are very unlikely to throw off your treatment, so please don't avoid this healthy vegetable. If you're thinking about concentrated cauliflower supplements, or you notice your symptoms creeping back, just check in with your doctor or pharmacist first.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Clomipramine page
“A tricyclic antidepressant used mostly for OCD, clomipramine (Anafranil) is unforgiving of shifts in its blood level, which is why its 236 supplement interactions deserve genuine wariness. Most of the list involves metabolism: herbs that speed up or slow down the liver enzymes handling clomipramine can drag its level too low or push it…”

About Cauliflower
What is Cauliflower?
- General nutrition and a low-carb vegetable
- Source of vitamin C and fiber
- Antioxidant support
- Digestive and gut health
- Part of a heart-healthy diet
Cauliflower is a nutritious cruciferous vegetable that provides vitamin C, fiber, and plant compounds called glucosinolates. As a food it is healthy and safe for most people, but there is no strong proof that cauliflower supplements treat or prevent any specific disease. Enjoy it as part of a balanced diet rather than relying on pills.

Clomipramine Is Linked to Lower Levels of 3 Nutrients
Natural Medicines records Clomipramine as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Cauliflower — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
