Dasiglucagon Hydrochloride falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Cod Liver Oil interacts with.

Theoretically, taking cod liver oil with antidiabetes drugs might increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
Some clinical research shows that cod liver oil may lower blood glucose levels in women with gestational diabetes who are already taking antidiabetes drugs when used for at least 12 weeks. However, it does not appear to have any effect on blood glucose when used for shorter durations. Until more is known, use caution.

Here's the thing to keep in mind: dasiglucagon (Zegalogue) is the opposite of most diabetes drugs. It's your rescue medicine, given during a severe low blood sugar emergency to make your liver dump stored sugar back into your blood and bring you back up. So the worry on file, that cod liver oil might lower blood sugar a bit over time, is really about your everyday diabetes medicines, not your emergency pen.

This interaction is mostly theoretical, and any blood-sugar effect from cod liver oil only showed up after weeks of regular use, not from a single dose. It shouldn't blunt how well dasiglucagon rescues you. If you take cod liver oil routinely, it's still smart to mention it to your pharmacist or doctor so they can keep an eye on your numbers.

Brand name: Zegalogue

Zegalogue is used to treat severe hypoglycemia — a dangerously low blood sugar episode — in adults and children aged 6 years and older who have diabetes. Severe hypoglycemia is a medical emergency that requires immediate action.

Zegalogue is not a day-to-day diabetes medicine. It is prescribed as an emergency kit to be on hand in case a person with diabetes becomes unresponsive or cannot safely swallow food or juice to raise their blood sugar.
