Here's the thing to know: nitroprusside (Nitropress) is a powerful IV medicine used in hospitals to bring down very high blood pressure quickly. It's only given under close monitoring, with your blood pressure checked constantly. CoQ10 has been shown in some studies to gently lower blood pressure on its own, though the research isn't consistent. The concern on file is simply that the two could have an additive effect, meaning your pressure might dip a bit more than expected.

In practice, this is rated as a minor interaction. Since nitroprusside is carefully titrated by your care team, they can adjust the drip in real time. Still, it's worth mentioning any supplements you take so your providers have the full picture.
