Here's the gist with CoQ10 and lisinopril: CoQ10 may gently lower blood pressure on its own. Since lisinopril is already working to bring your pressure down, taking the two together could have a small added effect. This isn't about CoQ10 changing how your body processes lisinopril, it's just two things nudging blood pressure in the same direction.

For most people this is minor, and the research is mixed and not very strong. Still, if your pressure dips too low you might feel dizzy, lightheaded, or tired, especially when standing up quickly. If you'd like to add CoQ10, check with your pharmacist or doctor first, and keep an eye on your home blood pressure readings so any change gets noticed early.

About Lisinopril

What Is Lisinopril Used For?

Brand names: Zestril, Prinivil, Qbrelis

Lisinopril treats high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults and children 6 years and older, and can be used alone or alongside other blood pressure medicines. Lowering blood pressure reduces the risk of strokes and heart attacks. The tablet combination product containing lisinopril and hydrochlorothiazide is specifically indicated for high blood pressure.

Lisinopril is also used as an add-on therapy to reduce signs and symptoms of systolic heart failure, and to reduce the risk of death in people who are hemodynamically stable (have reasonably stable circulation) within 24 hours of an acute heart attack (acute myocardial infarction).
