Here's the gist: amlodipine already lowers your blood pressure by relaxing your blood vessels. Coriander, in concentrated amounts, may nudge your blood pressure down a little too. Stack the two together and there's a theoretical chance your pressure could dip lower than intended, which might leave you feeling dizzy, lightheaded, tired, or a bit unsteady when you stand up quickly.

I want to be honest about how shaky this evidence is. It comes from animal studies, not real-world human data, so it's more of a 'keep an eye out' than a 'big worry.' Cilantro in your cooking is unlikely to cause any trouble. Concentrated coriander extracts or essential oils are where I'd be more careful. If you use those regularly, check in with your pharmacist or doctor first.

About Amlodipine

What Is Amlodipine Used For?

Brand name: Norvasc

Amlodipine treats high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults and children aged 6–17 years. Lowering blood pressure reduces the risk of strokes and heart attacks. Sdamlo (oral solution) is specifically indicated for hypertension in adults and pediatric patients 6 years of age and older.

Amlodipine also treats coronary artery disease in adults, including chronic stable angina (chest pain with exertion), vasospastic angina (Prinzmetal's or variant angina, caused by coronary artery spasms), and documented coronary artery disease in patients without heart failure or significantly reduced heart pumping function.
