Here's the gist with this combo. The product you're asking about (Alka-Seltzer) mixes aspirin for pain with sodium bicarbonate, which acts as an antacid to neutralize stomach acid. There's an old, unproven idea that cubebs may stir up a little extra stomach acid. If that's true, eating a lot of cubebs could in theory work against the soothing, acid-buffering part of your Alka-Seltzer, so you might not get as much relief from heartburn or sour stomach.

Honestly, this is very weak, anecdotal stuff, and a sprinkle of cubebs as a spice is unlikely to matter. Concentrated cubeb extracts or oils are a different story. If you use those regularly, just mention it to your pharmacist or doctor first.
