Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES
Why this applies to Escitalopram
Escitalopram falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Cubebs interacts with.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist: lab studies show that certain compounds in cubeb berries can block an enzyme in your body called CYP3A4, which helps break down many medications. Escitalopram (Lexapro) is partly handled by that enzyme, so in theory, concentrated cubeb extracts could slow its breakdown and let a bit more build up in your system. That might mean a little more of escitalopram's usual effects or side effects, like nausea, drowsiness, headache, or trouble sleeping.
Now, please don't lose sleep over this. This interaction has only been seen in test tubes, never in real people, and escitalopram is not a prodrug, so it still works normally. Sprinkling cubeb as a spice is very unlikely to matter. If you're thinking about concentrated cubeb oils or supplements, just run it by your pharmacist or doctor first.

- Culinary spice
Cubebs are spicy, peppery berries from a vine in the pepper family that have long been used in traditional medicine for coughs, digestion, and urinary problems. Escitalopram Is Linked to Lower Levels of One Nutrient
Natural Medicines records Escitalopram as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Cubebs — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
