Let me start with the most important thing: European mandrake is genuinely toxic, and I would never recommend taking it with palbociclib (Ibrance) or really with anything at all. Putting safety aside, the theoretical concern here is that mandrake's tropane alkaloids slow down your gut. When the gut moves more slowly, a pill like palbociclib can linger longer and potentially be absorbed more completely.

If more palbociclib gets into your system, you could see stronger versions of its known side effects, things like low white blood cell counts (raising infection risk), fatigue, nausea, mouth sores, and hair thinning. To be clear, this is a theoretical idea based on how these chemicals behave, not something proven in studies. Still, please don't use mandrake, and check with your oncologist or pharmacist about anything you take.

About Palbociclib

What Is Palbociclib Used For?

Brand name: Ibrance

Palbociclib (brand name Ibrance) is used to treat adults with hormone receptor (HR)-positive, HER2-negative advanced or metastatic breast cancer. It is always given in combination with other medicines — either an aromatase inhibitor as a first hormonal treatment, or with fulvestrant after the cancer has progressed on prior hormonal therapy. It is also used with inavolisib and fulvestrant for a specific subtype (PIK3CA-mutated, endocrine-resistant) of this cancer confirmed by an FDA-authorized test.

Ibrance is also approved in combination with trastuzumab (with or without pertuzumab) and endocrine therapy for maintenance treatment of adults with HR-positive, HER2-positive locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer, following initial induction treatment.
