First, the most important thing: European mandrake is genuinely toxic, and I'd urge you not to take it in any form. Setting that aside, here's the interaction on file with your COPD medicine roflumilast (Daliresp, Zoryve). Mandrake's tropane alkaloids can slow down how fast your gut moves things along. In theory, when your gut empties more slowly, a pill like roflumilast can sit longer and get absorbed more completely, which could nudge its levels up a bit.

Roflumilast is already known for stomach-related side effects, so more of it in your system could mean worse nausea, diarrhea, appetite loss, weight loss, headache, or trouble sleeping. I want to be honest: this is a theoretical concern based on how these chemicals behave, not something proven in studies. Please don't change anything on your own. Just loop in your pharmacist or doctor.

About Roflumilast

What Is Roflumilast Used For?

Brand names: Daliresp, Zoryve

Daliresp and roflumilast tablets are used to reduce the risk of COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) flare-ups in adults with severe COPD linked to chronic bronchitis who have had flare-ups in the past. They are not rescue inhalers and will not relieve a sudden breathing attack.

Zoryve cream is used topically to treat plaque psoriasis (adults and children 2+) and mild to moderate atopic dermatitis (eczema) in adults and children as young as 2. Zoryve topical foam is used to treat seborrheic dermatitis (adults and children 9+) and plaque psoriasis of the scalp and body (adults and children 12+).
