Niacin, Simvastatin falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Evodia interacts with.

Theoretically, evodia might increase the levels and clinical effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro research shows that evodia extract inhibits hepatic CYP3A4. This effect has not been reported in humans.

Here's the gist with your Simcor (the simvastatin part). Your liver uses an enzyme called CYP3A4 to clear simvastatin out of your system. In test-tube studies, Evodia appears to slow down that enzyme. If that same thing happened in people, simvastatin could build up to higher levels than usual. That can raise the odds of muscle aches, weakness, or, rarely, more serious muscle breakdown. The niacin side already carries a small muscle risk too, so that's worth keeping in mind.

The honest part: this is only lab research, not something seen in real patients, so it's more of a theoretical concern than a proven one. Still, I'd run it past your pharmacist or doctor before adding Evodia, and mention any new muscle soreness or dark urine right away.
