Chlorpropamide falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group False Unicorn interacts with.

In vitro, false unicorn extract inhibits cytochrome P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) activity. Theoretically, false unicorn might increase the levels of CYP2D6 substrates. Some of drugs that are CYP2D6 substrates include amitriptyline (Elavil), clozapine (Clozaril), codeine, desipramine (Norpramin), donepezil (Aricept), fentanyl (Duragesic), flecainide (Tambocor), fluoxetine (Prozac), meperidine (Demerol), methadone (Dolophine), metoprolol (Lopressor, Toprol XL), olanzapine (Zyprexa), ondansetron (Zofran), tramadol (Ultram), trazodone (Desyrel), and others.

Here's the honest picture: the concern on file is that False Unicorn might block an enzyme called CYP2D6, which could let certain medications build up. The catch is that chlorpropamide isn't really a CYP2D6 drug. It's a sulfonylurea that your body clears mostly through other pathways, so this particular interaction probably doesn't apply to it in any meaningful way. On top of that, the evidence here is very weak, coming only from lab dish testing, not real people.

That said, since chlorpropamide lowers blood sugar and can cause lows (shakiness, sweating, confusion), it's always smart to run any new supplement past your pharmacist or doctor before adding it. They can double-check this for your situation.
