Here's the simple version: Lotensin HCT already lowers your blood pressure two ways, since benazepril relaxes your blood vessels and hydrochlorothiazide helps your body shed extra fluid. Some fermented milk products contain natural peptides that may give blood pressure a small nudge downward too. So in theory, the two together could push your numbers a little lower than expected.

I want to be honest about how weak this is. It's a theoretical concern, and the studies only showed a modest drop in the top (systolic) number, not the bottom one. For most people, a serving of yogurt or kefir with food won't be a problem. Still, if you notice dizziness, lightheadedness when standing, or unusual fatigue, mention it to your pharmacist or doctor.
